The theatrical trailers of two keenly-awaited Christmas releases, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, have been released.
Both films have been made on a budget of more than Rs 100 crore and recovery for one of the two films might prove to be difficult.
Dilwale was always going to be the bigger film, after all it had a massive star cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Varun himself is a bigger star than Ranveer Singh and SRK is in a different league altogether.
The added advantage for Dilwale is Rohit Shetty, one of the top directors in the industry, whose track record at the box office can only be rivalled by the likes of Rajkumar Hirani and Rakesh Roshan.
But the battle for box office supremacy has probably evened out after the makers of Bajirao Mastani have released a theatrical trailer that has impressed the audience, critics and the trade. Come 18th December, Dilwale will still have the upper hand, but Bajirao Mastani is a magnum opus and a film that the audience would want to experience on the big screen.

After HNY and CE, i am not going to watch any srk movies in first week. Dilwale trailer is same like srk other crap movie where trailer is good but movie would be crap.
Trailer wise BM is much much better than dilwale.
i was the big fan of srk. Last 5 years I lost faith on him and still thinking he is really serious about acting or only fooling people with his marketing strategy.

I really liked the trailer of dilwale so much than bajirao mastani i think there is over vfx in bajirao mastani look at the face of depika ! It clears itself
in my guess bajirao mastani will be a below average(80-90) bcoz with outstanding word of mouth ,solo release,chartbuster songs ramleela made 115 cr then with clash to dilwale how can it earn 100 cr??
And 1 thing dilwale music certain to be chartbuster but i think BM music is not attractive so

BM all the way. All SRK fans can lie publicly and fool themselves but inside they know BM has nailed it. All the talks of BM being disaster are very much over. This is a clash of equals now. Even DARR GYE DILWALE is tranding no.1 since morning.
From Dilwale we expect mad no story slapstick comedy
And from BM we expect a classy cinema with big scale and production values and lifetime performances from actors.
Dilwale kind of movies is what Rohit Shetty has made always. But BM is different. Love Story, War and currently the hottest reel and real life couple in it. Its big. Also dont underestimate SLB. Expect from Saawariya he hasn’t given a bad or washout film in all these years. And his films are remembered today more than the crap shetty’s films.
Also as the release date nears, BM should go all out and promote their film as it looks grand and deserves nothing less than a big screen viewing.

Dont worry SRK will definately take dilwale to atleast hit status for the film. But dont expect a blockbuster material this time. Audience are tired of this kind of cinema.
