Bahubali 2 is on a legendary run at the box office. The Day 1 all-India collections were nearly 3 times more than any other Indian film and Day 2 is no different. Saturday was record-breaking at multiplexes, with metro cities recording better than Friday.
A section of the trade is yet to digest the fact that a dubbed film like ‘Bahubali 2’ is performing as well as it has in the core Hindi markets.
The Hindi version has recorded the highest ever 2-day collections of all time, both on non-holidays.
Approx circuit-wise figures for 2 days for the Hindi versions only (not including Tamil / Telugu / Malayalam):
- Mumbai – 31 crore
- Delhi UP – 14.5 crore
- East Punjab – 9.25 crore
- C.P – 5.5 crore
- C.I – 3.8 crore
- Rajasthan – 4.6 crore
- Andhra / Nizam – 2.1 crore (Home state, Telugu is the main version)
- Mysore – 1.25 crore (Telugu, Tamil versions are performing better)
- West Bengal – 4.5 crore
- Bihar – 2 crore
- TNK – 20 lakhs (Regional versions outperforming Hindi)
- Others – 3 crore
- Total – 81.7 crore (approx)
The main Telugu version which the film was filmed in, was historic on the first day. There was a drop on Day 2, but the trend is healthy. Business in the other South states are sustaining quite well. The 2-day business from all version except Hindi is around the 150 crore net mark. Including Hindi, the all-India business is around 220 – 230 crore in 2 days (approx).
Baahubali 2 has also decimated records overseas. North America will record a 10 million (65 crore) first weekend.
The worldwide gross of Bahubali 2 could cross 500 crore over the first weekend itself, making the 1000 crore mark almost a certainty unless there’s a major drop in business Monday onwards – which is unlikely.
To put that into perspective – In just 3 days, Bahubali 2 will beat the worldwide business of all-Hindi films except PK, Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Dhoom 3. PK will be history by the end of the first week.
Hindi version 4000 screens and Andhra/Nizam Telugu version 1500 screen then how it can collect more than Hindi version please explain indicine istead of such misguiding articles. There is no doubt in Hindi it is doing phenomenal buisness but don’t you think for telugu version they are faking big time Shame on bahubali producers.

Also Hahk is not the highest ff film ever, sholay is having 15cr ff. So even in this case Salman is second, even that film belong more to Madhuri.
I remember few years ago some Srk fans used to make fun of Telugu movies and now look what Baahubali has done ?? All Srk movies will be smashed in 2 days collections and within 3 days it will challenge Dangal, PK & BB !!!!!!

We should be proud of what Bahubali has achieved. But please stop comparing this to the Khan movies. Firstly the South collections are gross and not net. Secondly the the reason why bahubali is doing so well in north India is because the public are embracing it. Whereas in South the public reject Bollywood movies outrightly. That’s why Bollywood movies all India collection will always be less. But Mark my words the day Khan movies are accepted in South all records will be decimated.
I am fully in support with historic collections of baahubali 2 ….look lallu khan see this is called craze of good movie..no edx festivals …also 20_ 20 cricket matches are going on…..truly bollywood is going down and down quality and content wise year by year…I am not surprised bcoz when u have crap khan coming in every edx u should expect crappyiest films ever shot in the world. ….after tubelight will earn 400 crores again his illiterate fans will jump and shout in this sight praising their non actor khan… endlessly. …..it’s very sad tat films like baahubali are very less .it’s not india….it’s no salman films are bollywood.its better to dont have bollywood then…we want more non bollywood movies like baahubali… atleast they are not mindless craps….our real bollywood has gone way past in 1950-1975….even though I belong to young generation. After visiting BoxOfficeMojo last week they had made a conservative estimate of Bahubali 2 collecting around $10 million but I think it could end up collecting anywhere between the mid teens to high reens…! Weekend final totals there will be mindboggling….!

Yes no doubt south audiences snub their nose at the north when it comes to our ‘hindi’ movies but that historically was also true of north ppl doing the same to south movies. I just think what Dharma did ie in promoting/ distributing the film needs to be reciprocated by a south distributor n maybe a hindi film ideally Aamirs next Thugs of Hindostan can also create mayhem down south…!
PS a good dubbing edition of the film is a MUST though.

In Telugu states andhra Pradesh and telangana premier and first day ticket rates are 1500 rs , 2000 rs and 4000 rs in small screens besides multiplexes and also 6 shows in small theatres . so , 55 crores net collected first day in andhra Pradesh and nizam .

But in our industry they put unnecessary comedy and action scene our youth only want to watch rom com because of there GF.
