Filmmaker Karan Johar has said the ‘Baahubali’ franchise is the biggest movie event in the history of Indian Cinema, adding that it is “probably the greatest film ever made” too.
“This is the biggest movie event in the history of Indian cinema and I have to say I’m amazed. This is pure dedication, pure strength and this is what I want to go back and teach..” Karan said.
The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director also heaped praises on S.S. Rajamouli, the director of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise and one of the best filmmakers we have in the country today.
“‘Baahubali’, 67 years later, has beaten the magic created by ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ on screen. Rajamouli’s cinema has soul, his personality has gumption and I don’t think I even have ten percent of it” Karan said.
‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ releases in theatres on April 28.
Why not try making movies like this instead of making repetitive boring rom coms?

highly disappointed by the trailor of the film.childish vfx and graphics and nowhere compared to hollywood movies,so for me it is a big NO.now only waiting for tubelight,2.0and tzh.will give it a miss,i think it will underperform bigtime,less than 600crww

I am a huge fan Shankar shanmukh. But I have to admit that no film since sholay , managed to capture the audience imagination like baahubali did. This film is an epic in the league of Mahabharata , Ramayana and sholay. Just like star wars in Hollywood. But as we all know Spielberg is far far better than Lucas , same goes with shanker shanmukh and rajamouli. 2.0 may not create the lasting impact of baahubali.. but it will be a genius work and can challenge sholay’s crown of India’s ultimate blockbuster. And I really wish a bahubali type epic fantasy from shanker shanmukh. Ohh god.. that will be ultimate spectacle .
It will do definitely good business in box office but things is that how much it will do ..? So according to it will do first day approx 20 cr after that word of mouth will play the role of this movie where movie will go or not ..? @indicine , in your Q&A session this Sunday you mentioned that Shahrukh Khan is the most recognized indian actor in the world..even though it doesn’t reflect in box office collections. And you gave an example of Amitabh Bachchan saying that his films dont open well but he is still the biggest star. Are both of these sentences not ludicrous? Firstly if Shahrukh is best known indian actor, then why doesnt it reflect or why shouldnt it reflect in box office collections? How else do we know who is the biggest star? Who has counted the 3.2 billion fans that Shahrukh supposedly has? I know that Salman has 4.5 billion fans in the world..but i dont have data to prove it..so how can anyone believe it? The only definite way to determine stardom is by number of tickets sold..isnt it? Secondly, how can we compare Shahrukh with Amitabh? Its a lame example…Amitabh is 70+ years old playing supporting characters n past his prime 30 years back whereas Shahrukh is still playing lead roles n selling the movies on his name. How can their box office openings be compared? Lets be more objective in determining the biggest n best known indian actor in the world – as they say, words may lie…numbers don’t !!

This guy can do anything and say anything when it comes to either buying rights or shares and clashing with another biggie. I lost my respect for him after Adhm vs Shivaay media propaganda. Alot of trade experts confessed Krk was paid but were not sure 100% if it was Kjo but nevertheless he is a chatterbox. The reason I don’t use to like Ajay Devgn(though a faboulous Sstar in terms of his acting dedication and up and down fame) was because he has always been an introvert and disrespects awards but its his choice so for Ajay to also react it means something really went wrong offscrean which I applause his maturity for not going gaga all over journalist crying like a cry baby like this Controversial Kjo.
Kjo is trying to pass a message to Robot 2 but I don’t think this is the right way to say it. He did it with Shivaay ,then his book now Robot 2.0 indirectly. The better movie will be appreciated and stop comparing Mughle Azam with Bhbl for goodness sake. That’s very lame
