As a 2009 New year special, we start this new section on our site called “Ask Us”. Its pretty darn straight forward.

Have any query / question about stars, movies, box-office or anything related to Bollywood? Ask Us! Just submit your question(s) below, in the usual comments section. We will try and answer as many questions as we possibly can.

Note – Questions should only be in English and try to be as clear with your question as possible, it will help us understand better.

  • What is likely the final verdict for DDD in india and overseas and can you tell me the total revenue it earned?

    In India around 45 crores so far.. and Overseas approx 12 crores

  • It is said that VEER will be promoted like a ghajni…it is still 1 and half months to go …y not salman is promoting like aamir ……Or it is too fast to tell abt promoting movie…..How is the trade response to First promo of VEER

    Its too early, the actual aggressive promotion of Veer will start after the release of 3 Idiots.. Overall response to the first trailer is very positive.

    The shooting for Houseful is complete and the film is currently in Post-production stage. Action Replay is still being shot, we have high expectations from this. Vipul Shah is a good director.

    He has no films after Agent Vinod directed by Sriram Raghavan, which is also his home production. He will be a part of Race 2 though.

    2. Preity.. her career is as good as over. She only wants to work with big banner, who probably are not too keen to work with her.. Age is not on her side too, she is 34..

  • II REMINDER – RADIO movie was released a day before PAA, i have seen the review of PAA, but why till now there is no review/information about RADIO ?

    Allen, the movie was pathetic. 0 / 5.. Since not many are gonna watch it and the movie was so bad.. We decided not to review it.

    We did post some of our thoughts in the comments section though.

    Yes, falls short of recovering its investment in a few circuits, but recovers in some others..

  • What is the budget of all the upcoming akshay kumar movies not including the budget and will akshay kumar have a better year next year?

    Too early to comment on the budget of his upcoming films. If the costs are lower or the content better, there is no reason why Akshay’s films cannot do well in 2010.

    Y r the main reason that even good movie critically acclaimed r being flop this year??I mean other year every critical movie wasnot hit but some were hit but this year …even critics have given 4 star to movie…it is being flop???

  • 3 idiots is sold to Big pictures for 94 crores EX-CLUDING music rights and overseas right…..
    does it mean it has to get 80 crores or above for clean HIT Status…..

    and MY NAME IS KHAN sold for 98 crores has to do 85 crores for clean hit status…

    as DDD has to get 65 crores for clean status…..is it RIGHT……ANSWER MY OUESTIONS….???????????

    According to the info we have, Big Pictures have acquired the Indian and Overseas theatrical rights for Rs 65 crores. And it will easily recover its investment, unless the film is really poor content-wise, which is unlikely.

    She has appeared in many bikini’s during her ‘Boom’ days. Latest pics and a lot more when the new version of our site is made public. And before you ask, the final date for the launch is Monday, the 4th of December 2010.

  • Y most of today movie budget is big???2009 movies of akshay many were big budget n not able to get HIT status and again coming to 2010,movie like veer,MNIK,KITEs r big budget one!!!!!!Y actors don’t do the profit share rather than taking big amount of money per movie

    MNIK and Kites are both home productions. Kites is produced by Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik father. And MNIK is co-produced by Red Chillies, SRK’s banner. The budget is lower, it the high price paid by the corporates for the distribution rights.. that increase the stakes of these films.

    How to predict before the release of the film? Lets wait and watch. Overseas, MNIK should be by far the biggest opener.

    Please avoid asking such questions. How can we tell you the release date when the movie hasn’t even gone on floors yet?? If release year is what you were asking, RA 1 should release either late 2010 or early 2011.

    Yes, DDD is average – above average. There is no way Dula Mil Gaya will affect My Name Is Khan.
