All the buzz and uncertainty regarding Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend has finally come to an end. The romantic movie, which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel with the same title, had been announced as soon as the book was launched.
But since then there has been a lot of rumours and announcements regarding the lead star cast of the film. Initially, Kriti Sanon was selected for the female lead. But a few days ago it was officially announced that Shraddha Kapoor had been cast.
Even when it came to the male lead there was a lot of doubt. There were reports that Sushant Singh Rajput will be playing the role of the Bihari guy in the film but reliable sources have now confirmed that the actor walked out due to date issues.
Arjun Kapoor has been cast in his place.
It is being said that Arjun has already started taking Bhojpuri lessons to master the accent. Arjun has already worked in one Chetan Bhagat adaptation, 2 States, which is the biggest hit of his career.
