Kites has been postponed by a week and will now arrive on May 21st 2010 which will mean the Roshan’s most ambitious project with clash against Sajid Khan and Akshay Kumar’s Housefull, slated to release on the very same date.
Its too early to confirm if the two would indeed clash and either Housefull or Kites could be postponed by a few weeks as Prakash K Jha’s Rajneeti too is slated for release a week later on May 28th.
With increasing number of multiplexes and screens though, there is enough space for both Kites and Housefull to witness a same day release, yet survive the clash, as both films belong to different genres – Romance / Action and comedy.
In the past, biggies like Gadar – Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par – Welcome have clashed and all four films have made heaps of money at the box office.
If the clash does happen, it will be very interesting as both films are very important for both the industry and the stars. Kites would be Hrithik’s first release in 2 years and Housefull would be Akshay’s first release of the year, after a rather disappointing 2009.

well i still think it will not happen. Housefull team will change date coz Rakesh roshan is a confident man.
anywayz if both films do clash i see similar result like ATB and BLUE. KITES will get huge start, HOUSEFULL will also start well but will eventually be da winner.
i think families will stay from KITES, similar to KURBAAN. yaara u know how it iz. over here in England most people i know infact every1 i know who follows Bollywood cant believe some ov da scenes which take place in Bollywood nowadayz.
i thought KURBAAN was good nothing special but dere waz no need for dat scene. put me off tbh. i cant watch dat stuff in Eastenders lol

wat attracted me to Bollywood apart from Salman is da vibrance, colourfulness, even innocence etc.
but i strongly feel dat dis is diminishing. yes Bollywood has come along way but why da need to immate Hollywood. lets be honest wat dey bring to da table is completely different from Bollywood. their originality, lavish films are way ahead to Bollywood.
BUT I DONT GIVE A DAMN. id watch a good Bollywood film over any English film any day of da week

I thing Both films are the most awaited films of 2010, but I prefer to watch House Full, Coz AKKI is the best and I really love its acting, and when AKKI and Sajid joins that is what everyone should know.
Both will work but House full will be Super Hit of the year.

yeah yaar VEER is gonna rock am 100% sure. never been dis confident bout salman movie before. ur rite Salman needs a hit coz oder actors doin well. but his status will never diminish. its just dat some films hez made in da past especially last couple ov years have been very poor infact shit. YUVRAAJ, GTGH etc. but many films cant be attributed to him like HELLO, SAWARIYAA etc. Plus he wasnt main actor in MAMK. am shocked LD didnt do well. for me LD and 3I best movies ov da year.
my brother is very critical of Bollywood films. he only really watches English 1s and hez not a sallu fan but even he waz impressed wid VEER promo. Music really is great. very melodious. taali track is gonna smash it on da big screen. but u r rite he needs to get his multiplex and overseas fans back in da theatres. only gonna happen wen he signs good films and gives good performances like WANTED and LD. even though da latter flopped i feel it will hold him in good stead in da years to come.
MAJOR FACTOR is he needs to stay away from bad films like MAMK. i went to watch it first day and i was very disappointed. but am a loyal fan but i know other fans who have lost trust in him. dats da problem. dey still love him but dont feel its worth spending money on his films. so many people i talk to say 1 thing bout Amir. HEZ GOOD ISNT HE. coz he makes quality films.
so yes i do hope VEER rocks and his upcoming films also. people who r already declaring it a flop r just jealous.
I don’t think both movie will arrive on the same date, either any one of them will be pre-poned or post-poned. Talking about the winner, i think Kites will win the crown easily….. i have lost all my faith in akki.

A month ago Sajid announced releasing date of Housefull which was 20th May Thursday and preview on wednesday 19th May… how Kites can release on 21st May Friday when housefull is releasing 1 day before ???

if Rakesh can relase Kites one week before Housefull and it would be solo release and he can get good business in his 1st six days so why he want to clash with Housefull ? is he Over Confidence ???

I am not afraid of any actor or banner if my film is good n i am very good confidence about House Full so let d battle begins. Dont 4get the year 2007 Tare Zamen Par vs Welcome, u know Aamir is per a head than Hritik but my welcome defeated Aamir Tare zameen par about opening n grossing, so keep ur mouth shout until the day. Even though all d films are blockbusters but Welcome is ahead.

that means they r not confident of there movie….
and Sajid khan has already join hands with IPL(Akshay and DELHI DARE DEVILS) and 20-20 world cup…….to promote his movie
more over kites will release withmore prints in English and LESS Dubbed hindi version…….yes u heard it right Dubbed……becoz kites has all international cast except Hrithk and kangana((20 min role))…..and is an English novie…..
and abt weekend collections Housefull will surpass kites by big margin as it is releasing on wednesday….
to sum up …..well actually i don’t thing Rakesh roshan will take a risk with all his life earned property on kites…….
When it comes to the hype of the movie KITES is ahead of HOUSEFULL but it’s going to be tough war at the box office but HOUSEFULL may be the winner in the end

Hi Bro m fine hru?Ofcourse yaar bhai my favo is SALLU BHAI and about kites and housefull I think kites will get the better opening bcoz this movie is really carrying the hype more than hosefull and Hrthik is coming back after 1.5 years so curiosity for his movie will more but on the other hand Akshay is back with the comedy so I think Housefull may be the slow winner.
