Overwhelmed by the love from his fans, Akshay Kumar has asked the makers of his upcoming film ‘Baby’ to release a special teaser trailer, which is expected to be out this week.
The superstar tweeted “Friends! Overwhelmed with ur love & expectations for the Baby trailer, we have decided that only for you a special teaser trailer will be released in a couple of days.”
Also starring Madhurima Tuli, Taapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Danny Denzongpa and Anupam Kher, Neeraj Pandey’s Baby releases in theatres on January 23rd.

@sheheer…plz keep ur facts clear 1st…don’t write half truth…for ur kind information holiday worldwide gross was more than 180 crore…holiday released on 6th June this year and thuppakki released during the diwali festivals in 2012…in both the films the main actor was a superstar in their respective regions…but main problem is with the villain…thuppakki has vidyut jamwal while holiday has a newcomer villain called Freddie daruwala…and btw , u shd know very well that diwali period is the most profitable period in the whole 365 days of a year…people wants to spent their money in prestigious dipavali festivals , as most of the people gets bonus or gifts from their jobs…so that was the main difference with both the films…

@ nikhi, I am not against akshay, But some of the Akshay fans are just trying to make him a super hero. So i am just point out something. He is good at comedy, But he is not so good at other genres.

Actually Murugadas prepared the script for Hindi film. due to Akshay’s date issue he started with Thuppakki.
about the festival, i am from Kerala, and here deewali is not big holiday period. only one public holiday here. But still thuppakki made record collection at kerala.and same for his new release Kathi.
even with big release like HNY, Kathi managed to enter the 100 crore club.

If its true , is that we expect from him with a regional block buster with more audience along the country and outside the country, with a bollywood super star with larger fan base,and more screens, nearly 3800 screens where thuppakki just 1500 screens. is that u called stardom
sheheer, the reason why akki fans make him a superhero because in realife he is like a superhero. he can do kungfu karate, he can sing, he can do telekinesis magic where he can move objects with his mind. thats why his fans perhaps idolise him. before sying he is only good in comedies, don’t forget he’s been around since 24 years and he has established different genres of cinema, he was already a naturally gifted for action films and earned the name khiladi for his daredevilry, he has then ventured into romance and drama, and has then established comic timing from last 6 years. saying he can’t do other genres is dishonesty. actors go through changes in their long career phase and akki has gone through several changes. inbetween his comic years he has done movies like special 26, holiday, which he succeeded.
sheheer, in regional cinema you don’t even have to pay entertainment tax, so your gross becomes your net. which would mean akki’s holiday if you exclude entertainment tax would of earned more than thuppakki which released on festive season.
and that guy vijay does not have the macho manly face to look like an action hero. he’s skinny with baby like face.
if you think akki’s been doing only comedy then your wrong. since 2012
he has done rowdy rathore and action masala film, OMG where his character was not a comedian, special 26 a crime drama, OUATID, holiday which was an action thriller.
2015 with 4 releases only 1 can be categoised as comedy which is singh is bling, take that of he has baby – crime action trhiller, gabbar, action drama, brothers, martial arts sports film.

@sheheer…akki didn’t want aggressive promotion stratergy…he just promotes his films prior to only 1 month before release…and mark my word if he starts aggressive promotion for his films prior to 8 months before release like the recent diwali release hny , and if he get “solo” release in eid , diwali or Christmas thn he is also capable to give 150 to 175 crore net grosser for sure…he just like our sallu bhai who promotes his films prior to release of 1 month , not like the self proclaimed aggressive promoter diwali king who starts promotion from 1st January and release his film 10 months later in diwali…
Just take an example…in my opinion salman’s 2nd last release ” jai ho ” was by far his best films in that 6 back to back blockbuster period…i m not saying that dabbnng series , ready , bodyguard and ek tha tiger were not so impressive films…but the fact that jai ho was a good msg oriented film released during non holiday ( release period does matter ) and it collected only around 115 crore…just imagine if jai ho got the any festive period release like eid or dipavali or Christmas thn it would minimum collected more thn 180 to 200 crore for sure…
