Akshay Kumar’s latest release Airlift is the 4th highest weekend of his career, behind films like Singh Is Bling, Brothers (both of which had one extra holiday in their first weekends) and his 2012 release Rowdy Rathore – which also happens to be the highest grosser of his career.
The first weekend business of Airlift is slightly higher than Housefull 2.

If you are Salman fan you should be ashamed as Salman mentioned that akshay is the actor how has shown maximum growth
If you are SRK fan then expected … Just because your stars movie caused losses to distributors and raees in danger already you are scared how come a niche airlift overtaking dilwale
If you are Aamir fan then I guess it’s more to do with the film addressing national pride which he surely lacks … Nor is he a megastar like Salman Hrithik akshay

Recently I have been bashed by few ppl claiming to be an Aamir and HR fan, for supporting Akki and Airlift.
Few days I was bashed by few different people for supporting Bajirao Mastani not Dilwale.
These people have one thing in common they are HATERS.
basically, they hate anything and everything.
They hate SRK, Aamir, Sallu, Akki, HR, Modi, Kejri, Rahul gandhi, air, water, traffic etc.
They claim that they are fan of a certain personality and hence its their birth right to bash competing personality from the same sector.
Example- Hater of Modi may claim that he is fan of Kejri and will bash Modi, vice versa is also true.
Hater of SRK will claim that he is fan of Aamir or Salman and bash BASH SRK for anything and everything and vice versa.
Haters of Sachin will claim that he is fan of Dravid, lara, Dhoni etc and will bash SRT under disguise of a FAN of some competing personality.
These Haters normally have no lifestyle, low self respect and their only idea of pleasure is to bash someone and feel good about their sorry life.
Get well soon haters. I feel sorry for you and just want to give you a blanket, tea and a hug maybe.

Honestly think this movie shouldn’t be miss
Airlift is on course to be Akshay Highest grosser in India without a doubt. The feeling it gives when you leave the theatre is the best from patriotic film in recent time. The film helps to make us proud as Indian. Those who not liking this movie is born retards.
Watched Airlift with housefull capacity in the multiplex.
The story is known by everybody now which is a cinematic conversion on celluloids.
The films is thoroughly engaging, the fear and the environment of attackes in Kuwait is beautifully picturized with excellent performance from every one.
The heroic moment are less so us laughter moment but they are extremely real kind of presentation.
Full marks to director and all other technical department for making a real cinema which shows that what is actual heroism not what we movie goers used to see on screen because of our superstars without a reasonable story behind it.
Nimrat kaur was outstanding in her role, so as all the supporting characters whom real name I don’t know but want yo identify with character Josaf,Bagdadi command or,Sanjeev arora name a few.
Akshay Kumar was the soul of the film and his character in the movie was far different than we usually see in films. Very well written,he underplayed his character equally well. Excellent performance from him.
The best scene of the film is the ones when Indian flag raised on Indian embassy in Aman which gives the feeling about the great country we live in. If you want to see the environment we live in this country what the film that how the Kuwaities goes through so as many other countries even now. We are living a far superior environment. I am proud that despite having power we Indians,over government and Soldiers never did that kind of treatment to our neighbourhood and enemies.
The film belong to the real heroes who were behind the biggest evacuation plan.
Giving ratings to movie like airlift is insult to the Real heroes for whom the films is a tribute for.
My strong recommendation to every one to watch the film. I don’t care boxoffice when come to this movie but have instant feeling that Airlift will cross Rowdy Rathore trade figure, Deserves to Akshay Kumar career highest grosser because it is undoubtedly best film of Akshay Kumar in this decade and he himself is the best actor of this decade for me as he associated with 5 great films in the decade so far. Airlift is best among them.
Many people may like baby more than Airlift but for me Airlift is better. The earlier one was fake and imaginary story while this belong to reality.
Now expecting our superstars to make films for real heroes instead of showing fake heroism in movies like Dabangg,Dhoom,Bang-2,Dilwale,rowdy rathore etc and try to do films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan,Airlift,Pk,Omg etc. Even Singham etc is also something to cheer for.
First Bajirao Mastani outdone Bahubali for me, Airlift outdone Baby. Eagerly waiting for biopic of Mahaveer phogat I.e. Dangal. Cinema on reality is slowly-2 attracting me now a days.

For me their are only two actors actually three who make movies for and about those who love them and whom they love. I am talking about the actors who are in big league right now on box office. Tingu is not added.
AKSHAY loves India and his Fans so he makes a movie for every fan of every kind. From class lovers to entertainment lovers everyone gets something.
SRK well he makes movie for everyone. He has been making movies for everyone. Though last 3 movies were meant for masses. He is back to making movies for his Fans and Class lovers. What else can you say when your favorite star is going to do a movie about you. With FAN and RAEES he is gonna claim his top spot.
The third is Salman well most of his FANS are from masses so he do movies for them. Masala genre if I become more specific. And now he is trying to win back the multiplex audience.
Big respect for them but their Fans like me you or anyone else should learn to respect other actors. I say something bad about some other actor toh his fan start bashing my idol. Why? I criticised SRK for poor performance in HNY so I did with Sallu or Akki for Jai Ho or ALB respectively. There was no hatred for the actor but was for the movie. Those movies were bad. If a guy bashes your idol then smile coz your idol has raised his bar of success higher.

Airlift has had an super strong hold on Monday as collections should surpass 9 crore nett and with the evening collections which will be strong due to the next day being a national holiday it may even hit the 10 crore nett mark.
The collections in mass centres are similar to Friday morning (better at places as they did not open or do that well over the weekend) but more crucially the drop in big cities is minimal and in these places it had strong weekend and the drop in ticket prices also comes into play.
If the evening collections come in as expected it will be a 10% drop on Monday for the film and it may turn out a 10 crore nett Monday which would be a first for an Akshay Kumar starrer..

Airlift Atleast didn’t just ride on critics report for 1st day, as 1st day the movie had 80% opening at 1800 screens clashing with a brand franchise and being an offbeat film was difficult task. Akki’s track record with small unknown directors has
been brilliant, that’s how he became one of biggest stars in the country. Unknown director, actress not big star, supporting cast never heard of and only selling point was alshay, clash with a popular franchise and film not a commercially appealing film, to topple all those hurdle is a miracle.
