Earlier, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan were expected to clash at the box office during the Republic Day weekend, what with Ajay’s Shivaay scheduled to release during the same weekend early next year.
However, yesterday it was announced that Hrithik’s Mohenjo Daro would be postponed to the Independence Day weekend. The producer-director of the film, Ashutosh Gowariker, made the announcement through a press release that was sent to the media. Soon after the announcement came another big news – Milan Luthria, the director of films like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture, will be working with Ajay Devgn on a film titled ‘Baadshaho’ – which is scheduled to go on floors later this year and release in theatres on the Independence Day weekend in 2016.
The rest of cast of ‘Baadshaho’ will be announced soon.
The second announcement once again sets up a major clash between Ajay and Hrithik on August 12 2016.

Oh freak. This page has gone upto 8 pages of comments. I had been reading for the last few hours, all the comments. I would re-iterate the fact that HR has a greater box office pull than Ajay Devgun without an iota of doubt unless it is Ajay and Rohit shetty’s combo! No doubt, Ajay has a huge talent and is one of the greatest actors but again wasting his all talents in films like Rascals, Golmaal series, Himmatwala, AJ etc. any more would not help his stature. And for Hrithik, his bad film like Bang Bang collected almost 30% more than Ajay’s biggest hit of his career. So, HR has a much greater following when both are compared. Having said that, I really look forward to Ajay’s next two films which looks rock solid and we might get to see the old Ajay back! .
@Sani D.. these other fans like Tiger and Shaggy are bashing me because SRK and Hrithik are good films.. and Salman has done a few favours like ‘PO PO’ in Son of Sardaar to help Ajay take on the might of SRK at box office. Even if they don’t come with a franchise in their next venture, I would still bet that this film would definitely open between 20-25 cr. But, for the moment I dont see any Original film (no sequel, no remake) coming from them.

I am not senseless person like you …I admit that Salman is ahead of SRK in INDIA..but this lead is compensated by overseas…Worldwide they are at same level…..CE422 cr ,Kick and HNY difference is about 10 cr worldwide which shows that their level is same….AMir is way ahead of both in current scenario…….But HR is the only person who has the star value equivalent to KHANS….He is among the only 4 A lister of Bollywood..Ajay ,akshay movies (although I am die hard fan of akshay comedy films but reality is reality)openings are comparable to varun,ranveer ,Sid etc.(apart from Singham returns)//So where is the point of comparing HR and Ajay….And again I will say I accept that currently Amir is biggest star but you salman fans always say Bhai is the biggest star of India but Boxoffice shows amir ahead always..
