As expected, Agneepath has opened to a historic response all over the country. For the morning shows, the collections (at several centers) are higher than both the first day of Bodyguard and the second day of Ra One.
The reports are good and if the film manages good collections for the evening and night shows (houseful at most places already), Agneepath is likely to take over the opening day record from Bodyguard.
Collections in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore were earth-shattering – with every show running to packed houses at multiplexes.
The reduced number of shows (due to it’s runtime), could be the only reason for Agneepath not to go past the second day collections of Ra One.
After Guzaarish and the slow start of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, two films that completely lacked mass-appeal, Hrithik Roshan has proved yet again that he is one of the most bankable stars in the country.

hehehehe u will nt let me end this good going conversation :) again i dnt agree wid u, ZNMD, the first poster they took out was so damn wonderful n exciting {i saw it here itself on ur site :)} which already created hype to it…. and havng such good actors, HR, ABhay Deol, n farhan, also the hype factor KAT…. i thnk it was enough to open well…. n m talkng about HR gettng so much appreciation wen he was nthng compared to Farhan in that movie…. dats d main thng….
But Rishi, the audience in smaller town don’t even see the posters before release. It’s just the trailers on TV and Music which appeals to them. :) The film didn’t have a Desi feel, nor did it have action, masala, a chartbuster or a item number :)

@Rishi: whether you agree or disagree doesn’t matter!! if you have any doubt, then go and read the reviews by Komal Nahta and Taran Adarsh, there are hardly any critics who acclaimed Sanjay Dutt over Hrithik Roshan. A look only create an image on eyes, not the hype, just try to remember that Sanjay Dutt’s look in the film “Musafir’ was too hit that people also had been talking about Sanjay Dutt similar why you are talking about him for Agneepath, but his looks with the item number “Saki Saki” could not save the film’s Box Office fate!! From that particular movie, you can understand that a look can not do much to a who 2.30 hours film. It’s just one factor out of thousands of other factors. Hrihik’s performance in Agneepath has been declared to be the best and he set a new benchmark for Khans as well with his performance!!
FAUD: dude m nt sayng HR is nt a good actor…. bt for this particular film m talkng about, n yeah m just talkng about hype, nothng else…. n wat u thnk, if suppose sanjay had a simple look wid same roll… den it would be the same case!!!!!!!!!! hahaha
@Indicine just want ask you that during bodyguard after big weekend there was a big difference on first monday collection. i think bg on sun was 18crore and on mon collection was 8 or 9 and samething happen with raone. so you think same thing is gonna happens with agneepath or they will have a better mon. one more thing i want to know day 2 collection if you can tell me. what are overseas collections

@Rishi: You really didn’t read what I wrote?? what happened to the Musafir when Sanjay’s look was too good and much talked about?? try to get that point?? the whole Agneepath film is baout Vijay Dinanath Chauhan!! not kancha. Also, people will not go to theaters to see the death of innocent people including the death of Vijay’s father!! so it’s pointless to try to justify that the film has had an enormous opening for Sanjay!! We already know Sanjay’s level very much. If he had that much star power, then Munna Bhai series could have been record breaking movies. However, if look could give such a huge opening, then Salman Khan’s “Veer” and “Ra.One” would not have been flop!! hope you got the point!!
hrithik do no acting at all still he has to learn n he cannot do acting like big b.hrithik movie agneepath is full boring its totally flop n sanjay dutt acting is awasome his doulouge also good n his voice.hrithik look small any in front of sanjay dutt.:)the movie is running mean because of sanjay dutt he is a baba sanju baba..
