As expected, Agneepath has opened to a historic response all over the country. For the morning shows, the collections (at several centers) are higher than both the first day of Bodyguard and the second day of Ra One.
The reports are good and if the film manages good collections for the evening and night shows (houseful at most places already), Agneepath is likely to take over the opening day record from Bodyguard.
Collections in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore were earth-shattering – with every show running to packed houses at multiplexes.
The reduced number of shows (due to it’s runtime), could be the only reason for Agneepath not to go past the second day collections of Ra One.
After Guzaarish and the slow start of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, two films that completely lacked mass-appeal, Hrithik Roshan has proved yet again that he is one of the most bankable stars in the country.

Agneepath- its a great movie…Hrithik Roshan was fantastic…no words for him..he have gave his heart and soul…not seen him before like this… and offcourse sanjay dutt…when sanjay makes his entry.literally i got scared, having known that, this is just a movie…and please don’t forget to mention the great performances of Rishi Kapoor, Deven Bhojani…I think Priyanka Chopra should have been shot more nicely…!
Its really brought back the old indian desi films we used watch…and its not set in current time.
Very matured work by the first time director Karan Malhotra..!!
Its a sure shot blockbuster..there is no doubt about it…the only minus point of the movie is, its length..!!
which should have been little less..and the “gun gun” song was entirely waste of time…i think almost 5 min of the entire film…!! On the whole AGNEEPATH is a movie for mass as well as for the multiplex audiences…first blockbuster of the year…

agneepath was just about ok. it really wasnt that good the way it was given a hype. the only plus point about this movie is the acting of sanju baba and hritik. one more thing it didnt beat bodyguard first day record as other websites have said but still a tremondous opening. to be honest about the movies it really wasnt that entertaining and please some of you forget about comparing it with 3idiots. 3idiots was a master piece. forget about 3i it cant even go past 110crores because its gonna fall really badly. its too long and some parts it was too boring only acting was good

Rishi, don’t agree one bit. Sanjay Dutt’s look has helped and so has Katrina’s Chikni Chameli. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to the main star. And the fact is, today.. Sanjay Dutt can’t guarantee a initial (unless backed by a brand like Munnabhai with a director like Rajkumar Hirani). Do you really think, if an unknown actor was cast as Vijay with Sanjay Dutt as Kancha.. it would have done even one fourth of the 24 odd crores?
Saying Sanjay Dutt’s look helped Agneepath, is like saying Arjun Rampal’s look helped Ra One. Or Katrina Kaif’s item number was the reason Bodyguard opened well.

Rishi, true. Agree to a certain extent. But it’s harsh to say, Hrithik doesn’t ‘deserve’ it. Especially when he’s done it before both with Dhoom 2 and Krrish. And no, we aren’t promoting Hrithik. During Don 2 we were accused of promoting SRK, during Bodyguard Salman.. But the fact is, Agneepath has released now, so we ought to be talking about it. That’s what people want to read!
And yeah if u say so of Hrithik….. den y ZNMD got such a slow start….. :) n u also knw d fact dat that film got such appraisal due to Farhan Akhtar’s acting n nt coz of hrithik…. stl people consider him as the main lead n asks for an award!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o bullshit
Rishi, how can you even expect a film like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to open well. It wasn’t promoted well, it had nothing in it for the masses.. but it still did as well as Singham. And ZNMD released right after Kites and Guzaarish, but Agneepath released after the super-success of Zindagi. It makes a huge difference. :)
yeah i agree that u have to talk about that particular actor….. but wen guzarish released i was in favour of promotng hrithik as really he had done a wonderful job (leave the commercial part). n yeah public dnt want to hear about the actor who has nt dne well, for bdyguard, wat salman did in that mve i dnt understnd…. so naturally he doesnt deserve any good thngs for that…. DON 2 yeah i agree again wid u, he has done a very good job…. u cant include public who fights here comparing each n every mve wid salman n srk…. so leave that thng….
