Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has collected Rs 13.30 crore on its opening day at the box office, a solid start for a film that was in news for all the wrong reasons prior to release.
The All-India total of the film is about 40-45% higher than other release this week – Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay – which was expected to be the bigger film in the much-hyped box office clash.
A 13.3 crore opening may not be huge in today’s times, but given the fact that ADHM released during the ‘Pre Diwali’ period and shared screens with ‘Shivaay’, the real value of the opening is probably around the 18-19 crore mark.
The next couple of days will be crucial for ADHM, it has to remain steady on Saturday, Sunday and then record its best day on Monday. There is a small drop at multiplexes today, but that was expected after a big start yesterday morning.

Wow ! Much better than many expected. This clash is going the Rustom vs MD way, and once again budget is not enough if your film is bad. ADHM is the best one so I’m very happy with this good opening. RK is back in the game guys, and Anushka is once again the best actress of her generation.
I think that Saturday collection will be in the same range and Sunday around 15 cr, before the big jump on Monday. Superhit in the coming !!

LOL #HAHK had below average opening coz it was released on just 25 prints and don’t forget it was a Non-holiday released, Paanwale Lungiya Le Jayenge which was released after 1 yr with 100 prints and Diwali advantage failed miserably to beat Lifetime of #HAHK. What about that ?

40-45 percent more than Shivaay. It can be possible only in two cases –
1. ADHM – 13.3 and Shivaay – 9.5
2. Shivaay – 10.25 and ADHM – 14.5

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is the best love story of 2016 and one of the best family movie of this year. Ranbeer Kapoor would definitely be collecting best actor’s trophy for this year. He is absolutely amazing. Anushka Sharma delivers one of her career best performance. She is incredible. Aishwarya Rai looks breathtakingly beautiful. You cant take your eyes of her. SHAH RUKH KHAN CAMEO IS SIMPLY ZABARDAST. Saw it today with a friend and already booked tickets to see it again on Monday with family. Thank you Karan Johar for this complete entertainer with emotions and comedy.
