Aamir Khan’s PK is all set to get the widest release of all time, as the film releases on 6000 screens worldwide. The Rajkumar Hirani film will be releasing on 5200 screens in India and 800 screens overseas, which is a record for a Bollywood film.
There are also reports that the final overseas screen count might touch 900 screens. Trade sources say, the hype for PK is unparalleled and the film could break the record set by Dhoom 3 last year.
Hirani and Aamir’s last release, 3 Idiots, remains the second highest overseas grosser of all time. The record of 3 Idiots was broken by Dhoom 3 during the same time last year.

That was expected . Every Big movie releasing on a Holiday period gets the widest release every time . All The Best Aamir and Raju Sir for P.K. Let’s hope P.K. breaks all the records of Dhoom 3 . But above all i want to watch a good movie after a long time . I think P.K. will complete my wish .

Advance bookings for PK has started all over and it is outstanding at many places which means buzz is very high for PK.

Agreed Pk has big names attached to it and my favorite Hirani is directing it, but I fail to understand what exactly means hype? 3 idiots was supposed to be semi-hit/hit given that it was a multiplex movie. The ‘hype’ was thought to be average.
Talaash on the other hand was Aamir Khan movie after 3 years. Hype was thought to be phenomenal. Same for JTHJ and Chennai Express. Hype around JTHJ was more than Chennai Express. But business wise it was completely different.
Moreover, JTHJ was a familiar territory for SRK with romance, Yash-Raj, and his favorite Diwali. But it was just a clean hit. While Chennai Express was an unknown territory and Eid release. ANd he had strong opponents with Ajay and Akshay in both cases. Don’t know how this hype functions!
Yet PK can’t cross 300cr. This time both Aamir & Raju will fail both at quality & box office. God is there, Aamir can’t fool people any more by putting message & emotional scenes in his films.
Not every other film is 3 IDIOTS!!! And out of just amir khan you can not expect huge box office. Unless the movie is extra ordinarily liked , Aamir khan can not pull the audience..So no matter the screen count for Aamir khan’s movies, the content has to be extremely good and not just good enough.Just look at the BO of talaash!!!

I really admire this genius called aamir khan.by doing a massy paisa vasool film like d3 he has kept every kind of audience excited fr his next.nw from the promos pk looks to b a very different kind if a film and the music is also not popular yet d film will gt a hige opening bcz of the faith that every kind of audiences hv in aamir khan
