Most successful Bollywood Actors: 2010 – 2015

Following up on yesterday’s ‘Most Successful Actors between 2000 and 2009‘, we have the list of actors that were most successful in the current decade. 2016 releases haven’t been included while calculating the figures because a lot of big stars like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh haven’t had a release so far this year.

10 crore lawsuit filed against Salman Khan for ‘raped woman’ comment

A lawsuit has been filed against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan by a gang-rape victim from Hisar, Haryana. The lawyer of the victim is seeking Rs 10 crore in damages, after his client is said to be going through ‘a very troublesome period of psychological trauma’ after the actor comment on feeling like a ‘raped women’ while shooting for his film ‘Sultan’.

IIFA Awards 2016 Winners: Full List

The IIFA Awards 2016 has just concluded in Spain. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani has won a total of 12 awards in both the popular and technical award categories at the IIFA, which was held in Madrid this year. Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan was declared as the Best Film of 2016. Ranveer Singh walked away with yet another Best Actor trophy for his performance in Bajirao Mastani. Deepika Padukone

Varun vs Rohit Dhawan: ‘Dishoom’ guys arm wrestle

Varun Dhawan and his director brother Rohit Dhawan competed in a fun arm wrestling match. Their upcoming film ‘Dishoom’ also starring John Abraham (seen in the video), releases in theatres on July 29 2016. Rohit, who previously directed Akshay Kumar in ‘Desi Boyz’, will be directing his brother Varun for the first time. 

SRK and Kajol’s Gerua song from Dilwale crosses 100 million views

The ‘Gerua’ song from Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale has crossed the 100 million mark on Youtube. The song, shot in the stunning locales of Iceland, was the most popular song of 2015. Featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the song was sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra. The pre-release expectations of ‘Gerua’ becoming the ‘Sooraj Hua Madham’ of the current decade were fulfilled.

Salman Khan’s ‘Raped Woman’ comment lands him in yet another controversy

Salman Khan has made yet another controversial statement that has resulted in yet another major outrage on social media websites like Twitter and Facebook. A section of the media and fans of the actor have said that Salman was ‘misquoted’. But the truth of the matter is, Salman wasn’t ‘misquoted’, he did say “felt like a raped woman” but he also said ”I shouldn’t have said that” almost immediately.

Akira Poster: Featuring Sonakshi Sinha, A.R. Murugadoss film

The first poster of Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead is out. The film has been directed by ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Holiday’ director A.R. Murugadoss. The film will release in theatres on 2nd September 2016. The decision on the release date comes soon after the announcement that ‘M.S. Dhoni’ biopic has been pushed ahead to September 30.
