Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has received the ‘BrandLaureate Legendary Award’, which has previously been awarded to iconic personalities like South African president Nelson Mandela, Indian business tycoon Ratan Tata, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and F1 racer Michael Schumacher.
SRK received the award for his outstanding contribution to the Hindi film industry, and for being India’s foremost brand ambassador in Malaysia.
“It is an honour to be given the BrandLaureate Legendary Award. It is always a pleasure to be amongst friends and to be given so much love and motivation to do better” Shahrukh said.
The actor was in Malaysia to attend the birthday party of Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad.
SRK was honoured by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation, and received the award from Robert Loh, founder of Lord’s Tailor, KK Johan, president, The BrandLaureate, and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad.

hey i don’t understand one thing why only he is receiving so many awards and why not the other actors?
Giving such an award to a totally undeserving king khan is an insult to legends like the great nelson mandela,steve jobs and ratan tata. i am an eternal srk fan & i honestly feel that they are many more deserving and worthy individuals in our country and definitely more deserving than the king khan like amitabh sir, rajni kanth sir etc.
Srk is not just actor he have many other thing. His movies have done good job not only india also in overseas from many years.
i am very confused here as i have been reading these comments since last two years…that srk has bought this award (with each award he gets…they start barking in this way)…
i am wondering that how much money he has that he has an ability to buy each country like Indonesia,Morakko(city),malesia,thiland etc…
