SRK joins Steve Jobs, Nelson Mandela with BrandLaureate Award

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has received the ‘BrandLaureate Legendary Award’, which has previously been awarded to iconic personalities like South African president Nelson Mandela, Indian business tycoon Ratan Tata, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and F1 racer Michael Schumacher.

SRK received the award for his outstanding contribution to the Hindi film industry, and for being India’s foremost brand ambassador in Malaysia.

“It is an honour to be given the BrandLaureate Legendary Award. It is always a pleasure to be amongst friends and to be given so much love and motivation to do better” Shahrukh said.

The actor was in Malaysia to attend the birthday party of Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad.

SRK was honoured by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation, and received the award from Robert Loh, founder of Lord’s Tailor, KK Johan, president, The BrandLaureate, and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad.
