Q. How well are the songs of Sultan received? Has the buzz increased and is the buzz equal to that of Fan?
A. No comparison between the promotional campaigns of FAN and Sultan. FAN was the most poorly planned and marketed Shah Rukh Khan film in a decade! They released two teasers and both were out in 2015 – months before the film hit screens. They released the only song in the film (which wasn’t even included in the film), before the theatrical trailer. This resulted in the makers not having units in the last one month to give the audience something new. What were they (YRF) thinking?
On the other hand, the same team hasn’t put a step wrong with Sultan. Perfectly announced, shoot went as per schedule with the PR team constantly working at keeping the film in news and they eventually ensured that ‘Raees’ moved out too. The Sultan teaser was well received, trailer was huge and the songs have worked well too. Everything has worked for Sultan so far and it’s all down to content clicking with the audience.
How did it go so horribly wrong with FAN – a film that was expected to do 100 crore even in the worst case scenario – while everything seems to be clicking for Sultan?

Yrf Adi well known that they never lost his investment. Adi very smartly play game with overseas collection that ensures profitable YRF.
YRF knows that this time they are working with the Megastar Bhai and not with choota-mota flop star like haklu thats why they hasn’t put a single wrong step yet. #SULTAN will cross billu fan’s LF in 3 days itself with much better footfalls whether #SULTAN released on EID day or pre EID period….

Fan opened big only due to Shahrukh Khan’s star power. It is a different thing that the content was not appreciated…Whatever it is,lets just move on…I still have high hopes from Raees..

FAN is past and Yrf and Maneesh Sharam ware over confidence about the movie story.
They not include any entertainment value in FAN movie aspect SRK and his new young look.
If Maneesh make the FAN movie with songs and some more entertainment than FAN movie can collect 150+ cr.
But Yrf and Maneesh focus only on Visual Effects and Srks acting.
Hope Srk will come back With a grand movie Raees.
Indicine look so much disappointed with YRF for not promoting FAN, because FAN is their favorite star movie which FLOPED badly….But Indicine forget 1 thing that Marketing does not make movie Blockbuster or even Hit, if it is possible than all Srk movies will be Blockbuster or ATBB, but the truth is that Srk only give Average movies…..

Lol first of all who asked this silly question , buzz of pankha (if it was really there in the first place ) being equal to sultan’s buzz ???! how the hell does anyone even think so?
And there’s a reason why YRF justdid that , they already knew that even if they promote(or rather over promote ) pankha as extensively as flop star’s other movies then also it would have had flopped big time at the BO, then not only would people troll srk they would also badly troll yrf too , so in a hindsight a very wise decision from them, even with ra.1 like promotions it would still have been an inevitable flop/disaster , as pankha was destined to be a flop from the day the line ‘duniya ka sabse bada superstar’ was used .
So directly or indirectly indicine u r admitting that most of his movies have been successful because of his over-promotions & ove-publicity apart from other factors like multi star cast , banner , director etc…
I beg to differ…FAN had one of the best promotional campaigns ever!!!There were TV spots of the movie on a channel called MBC Bollywood….A middle eastern channel….There are literally no cinemas in the countries that it aired in…That was how far they went 4 the promotion…And even though it was only one song, the song had a new version released every week so there were plenty of SRK-in-your-face moments before the launch, just like the promotion of Chennai Express and HNY…Content was bad so it failed…Opening was good due to promotion…And I heard that SRK was first guest on kapil sharma show…so that got plenty of views too…
The buzz of this film is really good,am expecting a record breaking opening,coz the last YRF + Salman film had an earth shattering opening,this will be much bigger.Jag Ghoomeya is chartbuster i love this song very much.

still Fan manged to open with 20 crores, that was huge for a niche film. The problem was with the content. Opening and promotion didn’t go wrong, yrf never exaggerates the promotion, they do it as much as they are required. If the content had clicked it would have been a huge grosser.
