There are reports that Sujoy Ghosh, the director of ‘Kahaani’, has approached Katrina Katrina to play the female lead in his next film which will be an adaptation of the Japanese thriller novel, The Devotion Of Suspect X.
According to sources, the filmmaker has already started working on the project that will be an edgy psychological thriller.
“It’s an edgy psychological thriller which centres on the cover-up of a murder. The victim’s former wife and daughter get embroiled in the operation.” said a source close to the development.
If all goes well, it will be the first time, Sujoy Ghosh will be directing Katrina in a film. Interestingly, he has already written the screenplay of her upcoming action flick ‘Bang Bang’ also starring Hrithik Roshan.
However, Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Films, denied the report of casting Katrina in lead. “We haven’t cast anyone yet. The script is still being written.”
The yet-to-be-titled movie will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. If all goes well, the film will go on floors early next year.
