Times Of India reports that the ‘makers and stake holders’ of Chennai Express requested Jeetendra to ‘reconsider’ the release date of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again in the interest of both films.

It was then that the yesteryear actor spoke to the Balaji team, headed by his daughter Ekta Kapoor, to do the needful to avert the Eid clash.
There are also reports that, Chennai Express director Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar had a friendly discussion on the release date of their respective films, on the sets of Akshay’s upcoming film ‘It’s Entertainment’.
While the reports are unconfirmed, it looks like someone from SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment or UTV Motion Pictures sent a request to Jeetendra, and the sensible decision on averting the clash was taken.

may sound sensible for SRK & his CE but a disaster for Akshay & OUATIMA.
Firstly this change sends out wrong signal.Producers are not confident about their product.
secondly when the trailers are already out mentioning the date .its ridiculous changing it now.
thirdly Even less screen space for them.
if CE does well then no SS will take off CE and Put OUATIMA.
so loss for them. They can only benefit if CE does not do well. And that is taking too much of a risk.
Fourthly after 15th aug we have satyagrah next week so OUATIMO cannot put big BO numbers.
so it is only Balajee, Akshay’s loss. SRK has nothing to lose.
And going by what we have heard UTV has already blocked 2 weeks for CE in SS.
so That sums it all. How Ekta and Akshay agreed remains a mystery.

Totally fake news…..there r no values of requests and all, when own profit is concerned…..jeetendra and ekta r turned into perfect businessmen….they r not saints, who will offer a cake with slice to srk….actually, distributors were interested in ce more than ouatima….moreover, majority of single screens were booked for 1 week by utv….so they balaji decided to delay it for a week…in the hope to get those single screens , which r being booked by ce in first week i.e. 8 to 15 aug…so actually it’s the fear of balaji…nothing else….
Jeetendra is the founder of Balaji Telefilms, and SRK of Red Chillies and hence both areconcerned even if there would be a marginal affect to their projected profit.
SRK knows the clash did nothing good during diwali, and it seems likely that both parties met and worked this out.
I think this a right news and Thakur must have requested Jeetendra to reconsider OUATIMA release date bcoz Thakur has this habit of requesting people like he requested many superstars before to do a guest appearances in his movies so that his movies becomes hit.
Srk is scared after SOS outshone his JTHJ last year. He didnt want Akki outshining him on Eid so hence he incovertly sneaked a word in with Jeetendra…!

Yes i too think SRK requested Jitendra and ekta kapoor,not in this world but in dream world. Ekta might have had a nightmare of SRK requesting in his usual don style ( don ka enemy ka sabse bada fault yeh hai voh don ka enemy hai), so she posponded. Now ekta and jitendra can sleep well.
