Chennai Express is now the biggest hit of 2013, as the Rohit Shetty entertainer nudged ahead of Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani today. The film is also the biggest ever grosser in circuits like Tamilnadu / Kerala, Nizam / Andhra, Mysore and West Bengal.
What that also means is, Chennai Express is now the 3rd biggest grosser of all time behind Ek Tha Tiger (199 cr) and 3 Idiots (202 cr).
The Shahrukh Khan – Deepika Padukone starrer had a good day at the box office today (Raksha Bandhan) and should cross the 200 crore mark when the final collections come in.

There’s nothing more to prove.. Even in his so called lowest phase of his career Srk was constantly giving 100+ movies(10 consecutive hits in a row).. Whereas Salman delivered 7 flops in a row (yuvraj, mr. &mrs khanna , veer , god tussi great ho etc) …. Then SK discovered his mojo by doing masala pot boilers and tasted maximum success domestic (overseas no one could ever challege srk).. Now SRK has done a masala film and the results are for everyone to see.. Beating sallu in his own game … Victory never tasted so sweet.. Even if in coming times Sallu manage to break CE domestic records (I know not going to happen but for argument sake)he will never get near the global collections of CE.. Srk rocks
Earlier in early 90’s Srk was pitted against Aamir and sallu den late nineties with Hrithik and den due to lack of competion Amitabh bachhan.. Den Aamir again followed by Akshay and now Salman. Its for everyone to notice SRk has been the only permanent barometre of comprasion.. Give it to him guys (even the haters) he deserves it ..What matter over a long period of time is ‘CONSISTENCY’ and not one or two blockbusters.. He’s the supreme one the biggest bollywood will ever have…
Often I hear people criticizing SRK. Saying he can’t act he doesn’t look good. He can’t dance.. Doesn’t hv a good physique so can’t do action.. I just hv one answer to it : SRK is not the most gifted person by God still he’s ruling since last two decades so all d haters should admire him much more and realize that the fault is in their judgment and not in SRK. He an ordinary man (with just about decent looks and body) has achieved everthing on his own merit and should inspire us all to aim for the Sky and not limit ourselves..
