The theatrical trailers of two keenly-awaited Christmas releases, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, have been released.
Both films have been made on a budget of more than Rs 100 crore and recovery for one of the two films might prove to be difficult.
Dilwale was always going to be the bigger film, after all it had a massive star cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Varun himself is a bigger star than Ranveer Singh and SRK is in a different league altogether.
The added advantage for Dilwale is Rohit Shetty, one of the top directors in the industry, whose track record at the box office can only be rivalled by the likes of Rajkumar Hirani and Rakesh Roshan.
But the battle for box office supremacy has probably evened out after the makers of Bajirao Mastani have released a theatrical trailer that has impressed the audience, critics and the trade. Come 18th December, Dilwale will still have the upper hand, but Bajirao Mastani is a magnum opus and a film that the audience would want to experience on the big screen.

Dilwale is releasing on 18th December and till 18th January, It would have collected 410 crore net domestically. I am not sure about the International collection. I am not even sure about Bajirao Mastani whether it will be a hit or flop or whether it will beat Dilwale. But this is the information I have which I am sharing with you.

bajirao mastani trailer touched my heart with brilliant story , great scenes , great acting performances.
but i still feel dilwale will score more than bajirao mastani because there are less intelligent people in or should i say less intellectual people in india to understand the depth and passion of the story of bajirao mastani .
if bajirao mastani is anything good as its trailer shows than the collections will be
dilwale=210-230 crores
bajirao mastani=120-140
and if choose content over crap after first weekend than
dilwale=180-210
bajirao mastani=150-160

BM has to be the most fabulous trailer to have come out in 2015. This is HUGE and this movie should work just for the sake of SLB’s guts and determination to come up with a movie with such a grand scale and come out with this class. The pleasure right now to see faces of those haters of this movie and Dilwale fans would be something! RIP Dilwale!
This comparison itself is absurd. How can you compare a light entertainer with the “Love story of a warrior”. For me , both are good in their own way, but still Dilwale has an upper hand over BM.
And I am not saying this because Dilwale has SRK, but because the lead of BM is a big let down.
No doubt Bhansali is known as a perfectionist when it comes to the sets and locations of his movies, but all know that even Sawariya was equally grand.
Life has come full circle. SRK started with Dilwale Dulhania and seems like he will end with Dilwale. No one can stop Bajirao Mastani! Red chilies plz change your release date. I can’t see the fall of SRK. An SRK fan from Peshawar.
BM is better trailer but I will vote Dilwale as no small timers like SLB, Ranveer, Deepika etc. must be allowed to challenge SRK.

Dilwale is in sure trouble……Sanjay has definatley created a magnum opus for those who craveintellectual cinema. Maybe Dilwale is more suited for the masses who crave cars being blown up!!!!

Nothing . Until the storyline of movie turns out to be worst. That is the only worry. But at this stage, Dilwale looks invincible .

– Excellent performance of Deepika/Priyanka
– Story of a worrier (will definitely attract the people of Maharashtra and suburbs)
– Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Negatives :
– Monkey Ranvir
– Clash with Dilwale
– Love story of ancient time ( there will be always a risk of failure if it won’t connect with audience)

You are comparing Sachin with venkatesh prasad in terms of their batting skills…i don’t know why media is comparing SRK with Ranveer movie… If dilwale is movie then ranveer is the popcorn to the audience!!!! The only hope for Bajirao is when the audience does not get movie tickets fire dilwale, then some people instead of going back home they will watch Bajirao.. That is the only hope for sanjay leela bhansali…. But from weekdays there is no such hope…

At this point, I know BM is being backed by criminal fans and all those fan bases who hate SRK.
But trust me, when it comes to watch these movies in theatre , most of the haters will prefer Dilwale over BM and that even they know deep down their heart. So chillax :D :D
