Baaghi has done well on Day 2 at the box office. The film is set to show a drop of around 10% on Saturday, which is acceptable and normal for a film that opened strongly at mass centres on Friday.
Single-screen business, which was running at high levels of occupancy on Friday, was down by around 20% on Saturday. But multiplex business has picked up, even though occupancy and collections were lower than some of the more successful films of the year.
Baaghi has collected around 22.5 crore in 2 days at the domestic box office. The first weekend business will be around the 35 crore mark, which is fantastic for a film starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. The collections on both days are well above trade expectations, which hasn’t been the case for majority of film releases in 2016.
The film is a clean-hit at around the 55 crore mark. If it holds well on Monday, it has a good chance of challenging the lifetime total of films like Kapoor & Sons and Neerja. There is even a chance of surpassing FAN if the hold over the weekdays is strong.
The next major release is Azhar on May 13, so Baaghi has two open weeks at the box office.

Note: The Saturday figures are early estimates only and actual figures could vary, more so for a single-screen film like Baaghi.
A 10 percent drop shouldnt be a concern keeping in view fridays collections were awesome. So it shall be a hit at least.
After Ranveer and Varun guys like Sid, Arjun and Tiger are also stepping up their game. We need more hits from them.

Good morning Indicine. I am Suresh Padariya from Gujurat State. I think you guys are the best movie site across whole of Asia. It is a lovely and homely Avenue whenever I am free. I am a great fan of Akshay Kumar I think he is the most versatile superstar we have in the country.
I highly regard all the other actors and watch their movies too. What exactly I want to say is comparing Bhaagi with Airlift is of no point. Airlift was a niche movie that ideally meant for middle and upperclass sections of the population that is why multiplex was booming when it released. I find it unfair when people find Akshay to be just a workaholic and disregard his numbers at box office. How much again do you want him to satisfy the audience. He is the most risk taking actor in bollywood. He does 4 movies a year so definitely people may alternate. At the same time it’s high time he gets a Diwali Eid release. Seriously he deserves 1. How come he is always overlooked? Pleasing we the audience 4 times a year and the stakeholders in entertainment business cannot give him a very sweet date in unthinkable. Akshay can challenge anybody in terms of opening if he is giving an opportunity to release his movies those periods. Please how can he get those dates and who normally selects the date?
