Raavan Movie Review
Mani Ratnam is a director who revolutionized Tamil cinema with films like Nayagan, Roja, Bombay and many more. In Hindi, some of his films like Dil Se and Guru are watched and loved even today. So quite obviously, Raavan starring Ratnam’s favorite actor Abhishek Bachchan carries huge expectations. The film adapted from one of India’s greatest epics, the Ramayana, also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tamil superstar Vikram, Govinda, Ravi Kissen, Nikhil Diwedi amongst others. Raavan is an
Aamir Khan on Twitter!
After much persuasion from megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood actor-producer Aamir Khan has finally decided to join micro-blogging website Twitter from July 1st. ‘Aamir will be on Twitter from July 1. He was not on Twitter till now because he thought he won’t be able to give enough time to it. But since Mr.Bachchan insisted on him joining it, he gave it another thought and has decided to join it. Raavan Box Office Prediction
For Abhishek Bachchan, Raavan is one of the most important films of his career. Its his most ambitious project to date and after duds like Drona and Delhi 6, Abhishek quite desperately is in need of a solo-hit. For Reliance Big Pictures, after suffering huge losses with Kites, they’d be hoping that Raavan goes the Rajneeti way. Both films have one thing in common, both are adaptations of popular Indian epics. Prakash Jha for Rajneeti was inspired by Mahabharatha and Mani Ratnam’s Raavan is based on Raavan. Unlike Kites and Rajneeti (both films opened to a bumper response), Raavan is likely to completely rely on word-of-mouth. If the movie is good, the WOM should be positive and the film after a good opening should hold steady during the weekdays. If the WOM is negative, Raavan is likely to go the Kites way, just that the weekend collections should be much lesser. Here’s our box office prediction for Raavan Opening Weekend If Good – 25 crores If mixed – 22 crores If bad – 20 crores Week 1 If Good – 40 crores If mixed – 35 crores If bad – 25 to 28 crores Lifetime If good – 65 to 75 crores If mixed – 50 to 55 crores If bad – 35 to 38 crores

Would love to do a Yash Chopra film – Katrina Kaif
She has scaled tremendous heights in her seven-year-old career, pushing the boundaries with her performance in ‘Raajneeti’, but guess what Katrina Kaif wants to do now? A typical Yash Chopra-type love story. ‘There are a lot of sides to me that are yet to be tapped. After having done ‘Raajneeti’, it isn’t that I am going to do just female-oriented roles because the film has worked in my favour. I want to keep exploring and experimenting with characters and filmmakers,’ Katrina told IANS on phone from Spain. ‘In fact, right now, I would love to have a one boy-one girl Yashji type of love story in hand or, say,
