The Zee Cine Awards 2013 was held at the Yashraj Studios in Mumbai. Anurag Basu’s Barfi garnered the most number of awards in the popular category – Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (critics), Best Actress (Jury) and many more.
In the earlier list (published last night), we had announced that Ranbir Kapoor won Best Actor Popular, while Hrithik Roshan was awarded the Best Actor Critics. But according to reliable sources, it was Salman Khan (based on receiving the most number of votes) and Ranbir Kapoor who won the Best Actor Popular and Critics respectively.
The Best Actress awards went to Priyanka Chopra (Popular) and Vidya Balan (Critics). Kahaani also won the Best Film (critics), Best Director (critics), Best Story and Best editing.
The Zee Cine Awards 2013 will be telecast on Zee TV on January 20th at 8PM IST

2012 might have seen few good performances by actresses,Kareena Kapoor in Ek MAe aur Ek Tu,Vidya Balan in Kahaani,Rani Mukerji in Aiyyaa and Priyanka Chopra in Barfi. But the actress that led the pack was the veteran Sridevi, who returned to the big screen after a break of 15 years with English Vinglish and gave an effortless and brilliant performance.
The film was a box office hit and Sridevi won accolades for her performance. She received a standing ovation at the Toronto Film Festival for her performance.
Sridevi has proven that she is still one of the most talented women in the industry, more so than the other actresses we have listed above.

The zee awards was a waste of time oh please priyanka and vidya the best actress awards who the hell did they have to pay. I strongly believe best actress poplar should have went to kareena kapoor for heroine she gave te best performance this year and critics to sridevi. If you look at it for the last 3 years zee has only given the best actress award only go to priyanka and vidya even if the don’t put in good performance it. It a real shame so what they saying is no one else does good work from all the other actress. Vidya is good actressbut is she the best no and the same with priiyanka.

I saw the winner’s name in 3 different awards on this website and all of them didn’t do any justice to stars, directors, films, music, etc. who really deserved to win!

I really don’t understand why everyone is saying vidya and priyanka should wins the best actress awards. There where far better performance I strongly believe kareena kapoor has had the better year. She took on. Heroine and stole the show. She carried that moive all on her own and gave a omg performance. It. Would be a real shame if she doesn’t get the award it would show that actress work hard and only to be forgotten about it’s really sad. Let every award winner be determined by the people and not by a few people who have their own candidates. It is then the entire world will know the real best actor of the masses. Guess who will win most of these awards? Salman Khan of course! Any award winner that is not choose by the masses is not real. The masses should choose the winner and not biased people. Believe me, if the next Filmfare Awards follows the unbiased method of using callings and sms messages by the masses to choose the winners in all categories, there is no doubt that Salman Khan will win the best actor in the most popular category. But if Filmfare refuse to do that like what they had been doing for many years. Fake winners will still emerge as the best in each category.
