Yami Gautam has just signed the biggest film of her career. The ‘Vicky Donor’ star has been cast opposite Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan in ‘Kaabil’ which will be produced by Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft Productions.
The film will be directed by Sanjay Gupta, who has previously directed films like ‘Shootout at Wadala’, ‘Jazbaa’ and others.
Hrithik tweeted “I’m looking forward to this journey. KAABIL- we are capable of much more than we can ever imagine. Yami Gautam we are going to rock this!”
Yami responded by saying “Can’t wait to commence this journey, Hrithik ! Super elated to be working with you ! Let’s go !!”
Announcing the film, Rakesh Roshan said “After a long time, I have heard a novel story with all the commercial ingredients, so I’m very excited about it.”
On picking Yami as the lead female star, Roshan says “Yami is a fine actress and makes a fresh pairing with Hrithik. She suits the role to the T and we are glad to have her on board”
The director of the film, Sanjay Gupta, also said that the supporting cast will be as exciting as the lead pair
“The supporting cast of #KAABIL is equally exciting. I’m so looking forward to work with my buddies from earlier & new actors that join us” Gupta tweeted.
Kaabil is scheduled to go on floors soon.

1. TMK did more because just like your logic the one used in znmd vs baby, tmk had lot of glamor while guzaarish was a dark movie. Although znmd was a 4 year old movie while baby in 2015 could not even cross 90. Both were multiplex faresz znmd in 2015 would easily cross 120 if we adjust inflation
2. Akshay has given some really big disasters/flops – Tashan Joker Chandni chowk
3. He could not convert a successful franchise like ouatim …

People forget the fact that opening day big but rest poor days no sustainability is of no use. Opening average but sustaining beautifully and holding strong 2nd 3rd 4 th week wit super hit status is much more superior than all those nonsense akshay openers but flop days next.
Znmd was a classic movie breaking several worldwide grosser that time. Again had Singham not released week after Znmd I bet this movie would have crossed 100 crs easily. Go to wiki.. Znmd it was no.2 at box office even after release of singham that too for over 4 weeks it’s there on Znmd wiki.. Znmd received lots of awards and created records at that time as I said.. Yup non holiday but had Singham not been released back then which ate up large chunks of Znmd collection nothing would have stopped Znmd from crossing 100 crs easily.
Thus I find it so dumb when some people here are even demeriting Znmd movie and n calling Krish3 underperformed? the fans of that reader I bet has not reached half of the total gross of Krish3 but busy advocating n crying their hero will release bigger if giving edx… Not knowing the whole world witnessed edx release of their actor..Xmas… Tmk… Diwali.. But what happened with your Akki’s Joker?
