In the last few days, there have been reports that Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, popular in India for his role in ‘Terminator 2’, has signed Rajnikanth’s ‘Enthiran 2’ directed by Shankar.
While we can confirm that Arnold hasn’t yet officially signed the film, Shankar has approached the actor for the role.
“It’s true that Arnold has been approached to play the antagonist in the sequel. But he has not signed the project yet. The star will soon participate in a trial test for the role in Los Angeles” a source close to the film said.

There are rumours that Arnold has been offered Rs 100 crore to play the role, in the film that also stars Rajnkanth as the main hero and Amy Jackson as his leading lady.
Sources say, the budget of the film will be in excess of Rs 250 crore. It will also be shot in 3D. Music will be composed by A.R Rahman.
‘Enthiran 2’ will go on floors early next year.
Our take: Arnold’s presence will most certainly tremendously increase the excitement around ‘Enthiran 2’, but casting a top Bollywood actor as villain would probably make much better business sense. If the ‘100 crore’ offer to Arnold is true, the film would go way over budget. Casting a Bollywood actor would not only ensure that the costs are under control, but the film then has the potential to perform well all over India. Just bcz baahubali worked south producers hv completely lost their mind and r expecting every big canvas south film to perform well all over India.
But v all r aware of the disastrous performance of hindi versions of Puli & Rudramadevi and even I hardly collected anything.

Srk rejected the first enthrian movie, so no way he will sign again and that too as villain…..may be 3-4 years later it could be a possibility…..Salman no way……..May be Aamir could just do it, because he can take on the challenge, but he will make sure that the content is super strong and very good visuals.

I would love to watch SRK as a villain role but unfortunately he is not doing it..He is the perfect villain as we have seen him In negative roles (Darr Anjaam Baazigar Duplicate and the most stylish Don)…Hritic aamir akki are good opions too.
Hope it turns out to be true so that we would get to see two iconic screen legends Rajni kanth & Arnold sharing screen with each other in a movie.
Arnold is still a big & saleable superstar in the cinema world and if u want to have Arnold in an Indian movie then a minimum of 100 crores is a must but with the same 100 crore fees we can have aamir & salman together in a single movie or the producer can buy 3 srks or 5 akshay kumars (may be they would be needed as dummies for the innumerable robots ) :D, 100 crores for Arnold , at least 50 crores for rajni sir & 8-10 crores for the actress , so around 160-170 crores just for the main lead & another 8-10 crores for shankar himself so the director would need at least another 150 crores to make a truly world class sci-fi movie , so the budget could actually escalate up to 330 crores and if it gets delayed then could even rise as high as 350-370 crores , wow , the budget would be as much as a medium sized Hollywood movie, but if Robot 2 can gross 1000 crores worldwide with a almost- Hollywood standard VFX & SFX effects then every rupee spent on the movie would be worth it.

Arnold’s last film Termineter Genesis is a disaster in USA & overseas & also in India.
An actor from Bollywood is better choice for a Tamil,Telugu & Hindi release.
By the way in India who knows Arnold Schwarzenegger except hugely movie site users.
No differrance will happen in India if Arnold plays the villain & in overseas people mainly prefer ratings & WOM not star cast.

Robot 2 is getting bigger day by day . Arnold was a Huge Star in Hollywood but i can’t say whether he still has the same anount of Stardom . I also feel 100 CR for Arnold is too much . No doubt Robot 2 will be the Costliest movie of India when it will release in 2017 . It will be spectacular to see Robot 2 in 3D . It will be icing on the cake if any Bollywood Actor will be a part of Robot 2 . But if the script demands a Villain who is not an Indian then Arnold will be the perfect choice . Also now he is getti old so i doubt whether he will be able to do hardcore Action sequences . Just waiting for the official announcement . Now south film industry slowly slowly overtake bollewood in terms of quality cinema. Where south make films like enthrin , enthrin2 , I, bahubali etc but bollewood make films like doodhwale, premratan chawal khayo , hit hai muskil etc.i think its time come that the khans should make these types high budget adventure movie because they are such big superstars that these movies easily cross 500 crore worldwide so there is no chance of loss money and bollewood should ban filmmakers like karan johar who only know same type of romcom only
