Q. What’s the total collections of all Hindi films released in 2014? – Sandeep (Pune)
A. Total of 56 Hindi films have released between January 1st to 15th May 2014. The total net collections of all films combined is Rs 751 crore, out of which the Top 10 films have contributed close to 600 crore.
Two films have crossed the 100 crore mark – Jai Ho (112 cr), 2 States (101 crore). Five films have crossed 50 crore – Jai Ho, 2 States, Gunday (78 cr), Queen (62 cr) and Main Tera Hero (55 cr).

Abbe Chutiye @Queenshuk.. your Sarkar Khan should thank YRF(mainly Yashji) for making him a Global King as way back in 1995, they decided to release DDLJ in overseas region in a wider way as an experiment to help Bollywood reach out the NRI’s(This after Lamhe did well in the UK with limited prints and flopped in India)..the result of that is what you see today..wherein producers release movies across the world to cash on the hype and star phenomenon..
Hence proved that YRF>>>Sarkar Khan..no wonder you idiotic Paglapurians are such dimwits..

with David Dhawan, agreed Mr and Mrs Khiladi was a flop, but still is enjoyed by people even today when it has reruns..
Guddu Dhanoa’s Bichoo came in 2000 whereas aflatoon was in 1997.. :D
BTW De Dana Dan was a semi hit with Priyadarshan..
Speaking of Sajid Nadiadwala..guess you forgot that after KI, Akki gave 2 superhits with Housefull series and he had given Heyy Baby before KI..
With Nikhil Adwani, well..Nikhil himself lost the way after KHNH and gave us a boring SEI..and then came CC2C and Patiala House..
Coming to Sarkar Khan now, well these are the directors whose career was over or suffered because of him..
Ramesh Sippy-Zamana Deewana, Sippy retired after this..
Aziz Mirza-PBDHH..gave us Kismat Connection after this which was average..
Mahesh Bhatt-Chahat and Duplicate..both BO disasters :D
Ashutosh Gowariker-Swades..Well made and one of my fav movies, but still a box office flop..
Mani Ratnam-Dil Se..Well made movie, but still a box office flop..he was on a hot streak before this with classics like Mouna Ragam, Roja, Bombay, Iruvar, Thiruda Thiruda..
Amol Palekar-Paheli..Flop Movie
Priyadarshan-Billu..Flop..
Rakesh Roshan-Koyla..Flop..after that he works only with Hrithik..
And don’t worry man..Holiday will be a superhit as i have seen the original and ha a great story..only possible drawback being Vidyut Jamwal is not retained for the Hindi version..!!!

@malaika arora the movies you mentioned above are either of big banners or have guest appearances of other stars so we should be honest and should accept that our king needs support and also you are mentioning 3rd and 4th highest grossers of years but stars like Aamir and Salman are giving highest grossers of the years from many years
