Welcome Back has collected Rs 51 crore in its first weekend at the box office, the third highest weekend collections after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (102.6 crore) and ‘Brothers’ (52.08 crore).
The Salman Khan starrer released on 4100 screens, Akshay’s Brothers released on 3500 screens and Welcome Back is playing on 3200 screens across the country.
Looking at the trends and occupancy for the morning shows on Monday, Welcome Back looks certain to cross the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office.

Just want to highlight one thing if grand masti a total crap be a 100 CR movie then welcome back is surely get 100 CR.
Also indicine judges a film good or classic based on box office collection ,like they themselves told baby is a classic and they were thrilled and enjoyed giving the reviews,but moment collection came down they were mum and now they judge twmr as better movie than gabbar,even piku and now welcome back would be judged better film than baby

With Akshay 70 cr weekend and lifetime 175 crs plus . budget is high , can’t say about the verdict but 100 is possible now .

Welcome of 2007 was an Anil Akshay Nana Katrina movie. Blockbuster well deserved. Akshay did real justice in that movie. Remove Anil and Nana from welcome 2007 and give your suggestion on who would have substituted Anil and Nana in that movie? I give you all the time to think and then post. I repeat. Had Anil and Nana not been casted in welcome 2007 which actors would have justified Both of their roles? Now to the main point. A year ago if you asked any fan who should replace akshay in upcoming welcome back I believe every fan will have like 10-15 seconds to tell you okay let actor a or actor b or actor c replace Akshay. You know why it will take 10-15 seconds to think of a possible substitute for akshay in welcome back? Because it’s quite tough to find his replacement but definitely they are quite some handfull of actors that would cast in place of akshay. Believe you me ask any fan prior to the release of welcome back that who should replace Nana and Anil in upcoming welcome back but Akshay will still be casted along with katrina. I bet you it will take more than 10-15 hours(this time not minutes) for any fan to imagine which 2 actors will replace Anil and Nana. Not that they aren’t capable actors but still it’s a very very hard question. Period! About Salman you should be taken to a real mental ??? for uttering such an expensive joke. Mind you I admire both Salman and Akshay but just as @hritik mentioned you are gradually mutilating Akshays 24 year stardom. So learn how to zip your mouth when due.
