When Salman Khan tweeted “Back off” before announcing the new release date of his home-production ‘Hero’, it was said to be a direct warning to Anees Bazmee and the makers of ‘Welcome Back’.
In a strange decision, ‘Hero’ and ‘Welcome Back’, both Eros International films, are scheduled to release on September 4. The date, which was vacated by Dharma Productions’ ‘Shaandaar’, was immediately taken up by ‘Welcome Back’.
‘Hero’ was scheduled to release on September 25, but Salman’s tweet took everyone, including Anees Bazmee who directed the superstar in ‘Ready’, by surprise.
“We had no idea about Salman bhai’s plans. After we heard that Vikas Bahl’s Shaandaar was being postponed, we quickly moved in. We had been on the lookout for a window for our film. We checked to see if any other film was moving into the vacated September 4 slot. We we were not aware of Salman bhai’s plans until we saw his tweet announcing Hero.”
Bazmee feels there is space for both films as they both belong to different genres. ‘Welcome Back’ is a comedy, while ‘Hero’ is an action film that introduces two star-kids, Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.
“Hero and Welcome Back are very different films. I feel there is room for both.” Anees has said.
However, Salman Khan, who has shouldered the responsibility to give the best possible launch for Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya, is said to be extremely unhappy with the clash.
There are also unconfirmed reports that the superstar has decided not to feature in the sequel to ‘No Entry’, a film that has been delayed by several years because of Salman’s dates.
Both ‘Welcome Back’ (which was first scheduled for Christmas 2014) and ‘Hero’ have changed their respective release dates several times. It remains to be seen if the clash will eventually take place or one film will back out at the last moment.

Only the Almighty knows d truth. But with d controversy of Jia khans death many ppl already created an impression for sooraj which I think may be anoda determining factor 4d movie. If not am sure it wldv been successful like Heropanti. I may just watch d movie bcos of Sunil shetty daughter. Before that am watching Welcome bk 4 *real!*

I don’t know on what basis is Hero being touted as a big release.It stars 2 newcomers both having nil face value.Also the lead guy has been embroiled in several controversies which has had a negative impact on his image.Even though not excited about WB but it will surely dethrone Hero.
AUK Hero’s trailer is nt out yet so personaly I think it willbe better if hero wilbe postponed, wb is a sequal of a blockbuster comedy film and all crews are well known while hero is a remake of classic movie wid dabuted actor-actress. obviously people will choose wb over hero
Welcome released with a Aamir Khan film way back then and it was clear winner and if some one can defeat Ammir during Christmas period i don’t think it will be a problm to trash Hero this time around.. Hero should get postponed… Im eagerly waiting for WB only reason being NANA and Anil Kapoor.. they were fab in the first part

‘s two movies RDB and fanaa were amongst 6 highest grossers while salman’s no movie was even in top 10. Dont blabber much. Aamir is class actor so he does one film at a time and that’s why he is called perfectionist.

I think hero should back off release in bakrid a holiday period good time clashes is not good for industry or producer or star even Raees and Sultan should not clash each other
