When Salman Khan tweeted “Back off” before announcing the new release date of his home-production ‘Hero’, it was said to be a direct warning to Anees Bazmee and the makers of ‘Welcome Back’.
In a strange decision, ‘Hero’ and ‘Welcome Back’, both Eros International films, are scheduled to release on September 4. The date, which was vacated by Dharma Productions’ ‘Shaandaar’, was immediately taken up by ‘Welcome Back’.
‘Hero’ was scheduled to release on September 25, but Salman’s tweet took everyone, including Anees Bazmee who directed the superstar in ‘Ready’, by surprise.
“We had no idea about Salman bhai’s plans. After we heard that Vikas Bahl’s Shaandaar was being postponed, we quickly moved in. We had been on the lookout for a window for our film. We checked to see if any other film was moving into the vacated September 4 slot. We we were not aware of Salman bhai’s plans until we saw his tweet announcing Hero.”
Bazmee feels there is space for both films as they both belong to different genres. ‘Welcome Back’ is a comedy, while ‘Hero’ is an action film that introduces two star-kids, Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.
“Hero and Welcome Back are very different films. I feel there is room for both.” Anees has said.
However, Salman Khan, who has shouldered the responsibility to give the best possible launch for Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya, is said to be extremely unhappy with the clash.
There are also unconfirmed reports that the superstar has decided not to feature in the sequel to ‘No Entry’, a film that has been delayed by several years because of Salman’s dates.
Both ‘Welcome Back’ (which was first scheduled for Christmas 2014) and ‘Hero’ have changed their respective release dates several times. It remains to be seen if the clash will eventually take place or one film will back out at the last moment.

4th September is a good release date . I don’t think Welcome Back should be postponed . It was expected to release in 2014 but it got postponed then it was scheduled to release in May then it got delayed and now the final release date is 4th September which i think is good . Salman and John don’t get along well . After the release of Ready Anees Bazmee was upset with Sohail and Salman Khan . John and Salman had a dispute on the sets of Baabul and after that they still don’t like each other . I think Hero should be postponed to 11th or 18th . I did not like the trailer of WB but it is a sequel to a Blockbuster Comedy movie and people will go to watch it . On the other hand Hero is a Remake and it stars Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty . WB has John, Anil, Nana, Paresh and Naseer Sir . I think Salman should take a wise decision since he is the Producer of Hero and Eros should also think properly there is no point in releasing 2 movies that are distributed by them . If a clash happens then Hero will be severely affected because people will prefer WB over Hero anytime .

Don’t know about Hero much & not sure about Aaditya Pancholi’s acting so waiting for trailer & Despite a die hard Salman fan i will decide on Hero only after watching trailer.
By trailer Welcome Back is not looking anywhere near to Welcome so already no plan of watching it.
But one thing which Welcome Back did well is it played with emotions of Akki fans badly.
First when makers announced that Akki is not part of Welcome Back…Akki fans said it will be disaster.
Then a fake news came that Welcome Back is releasing on Eid…& Akki fans started celebration & said it will be great movie & it will trash Bajrangi Bhaijaan..
After official release date(4th September) they again went back & said it will be disaster.
Now Hero is clashing with it & Hero is a Salman Khan production film so no wonder if Akki fans again fall in love with Welcome Back.

Didn’t expect this childish tweet from Salman if “Back off” was directed at the team of Welcome Back. We live in a democratic country, and it is hard to get a good release date for non Superstars. If they feel a certain date could be beneficial for them, they should definitely grab it with both hands. They are not getting Eid, Diwali or Christmas anyway.
Coming to the clash, Welcome Back is a bigger film and it will do better than Hero, which has debutant youngsters in it. Logic says it’s Hero which should change the date, but as I said, we live in a democratic country, and they have all the rights to release it whenever they want to, just like makers of Welcome Back.

Salman’hero will be flop badly bcoz WB has a great actor like anil, nana, Shah, paresh, john.
I have no interest in WB and Hero but if clash happens than I will support WB as it has talented actors like Nasser,Nana,Anil & paresh while on other hand you have a non-star kid criminal pancholi.

Hero is Salman Khan production film & not Salman film so its fate will not going to affect Salman’s stardum so no need to be panic.
& for Raees vs Sultan again i am sure Raees will pre or postpone as Kjo & Ajay booked Diwali insured that Fan is releasing on 1st June 2016.
So srk can release Raees on Eid & our Sultan is waiting for him on Eid.(Strictly plz SRK fans dont reply with 8 year old data).

sallu now a days becomes mad.may be due to his hit and run case is going to be open in this 13 July soon.that’s why his mind is not working properly for which reason he is taking his dig against BIGGEST FILMS like RAEES,WELCOME BACK,but the result will be both raziya sultan and hero will be murdered like hell at last.
Hero stars two unknown actors and hardly anyone has interest in it. It will flop as no way will public come to see two no names.
It depends on how well the trailer of hero recieves…if the hero trailer turned out good than no need to worry…both the films will do well….as welcome back will be atleast a semi hit …it could be a huge hit if there was akshay sir…and on the other side there is hero which is I think was a youthful action movie…with the salman brand established….so both the films r on safe side…they both will be semi hit at least if not huge hit…BTW…the dumbest decion is here for Eros films…I don’t know y they decided to release both the films on the same date…the potential of both the films will shrink by atleast 15-25? to do well on bo…

If salman unhappy with this small clash than everybody can understand that salman big unhappy with Eid 2016 clash with King Khan Raees, But salman not show this at the time. But he is unhappy and afraid By Big Eid Clash 2016.
