Anees Bazmee’s Welcome Back is a difficult film to predict. The film has two huge factors in its favour; the super-success of the first film, which released back in 2007 and the popularity that it gained during its numerous runs on television. It’s these two factors that worked big time for ‘Singham Returns’ too.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s presence will be sorely missed. With Akshay in ‘Welcome Back’, a huge opening was pretty much guaranteed, but with John Abraham replacing him, the opening day business will be because of the ‘Welcome’ franchise and recall value.
We expect Welcome Back to collect Rs 11.5 crore on its opening day. The film is expected to take a good start both at multiplexes and single-screens, but given its costs, Welcome Back has to have a long and successful run at the box office to emerge as a clean hit.

Still remember vividly watching Welcome with capacity crowd laughing and having a gala time.Unfortunately the sequel would be no match to its prequel thanks to Akki’s absence
Welcome belonged to nana patekar and anil kapoor.. i dont remember even a single dialogue of akki which made me laugh.. he was completely overshadowed by nana and anil.. i remember welcome for the painting scenes of majnu bhai and those aaloo lelo, kanda lelo dialogues by uday shetty.. no offence to akki fans.. its my view only..

To all those people who said welcome was a nana , anil and paresh sir starrer and akshay makes no difference please answer a simple qiestion- is a film starring these three can even got a release on christmas or any holiday that to against an amir khan film, and welcome was fourth film of akshay kumar when he was at top of his stardom acc. to trade it was a record opener but numbers were a bit less because film wasn’t release at many multiplexes on first day because of revenue sharing issues, nutral and honest people know whose film welcome was amd haters also know it but they won’t admit it just because they hate akshay.
Me and my family have watched welcome atleast 15 times but Iam not intersted in this one.
akshay gave a stellar performance in welcome,he portrayed a simple and cute man,his innocent act was really praiseworthy,other actors were also brilliant,the movie became a blockbuster because of akki, no other actor in bollywood can match akshay’s comedy act, akki is the king of comedy and action
