Anees Bazmee’s Welcome Back is a difficult film to predict. The film has two huge factors in its favour; the super-success of the first film, which released back in 2007 and the popularity that it gained during its numerous runs on television. It’s these two factors that worked big time for ‘Singham Returns’ too.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s presence will be sorely missed. With Akshay in ‘Welcome Back’, a huge opening was pretty much guaranteed, but with John Abraham replacing him, the opening day business will be because of the ‘Welcome’ franchise and recall value.
We expect Welcome Back to collect Rs 11.5 crore on its opening day. The film is expected to take a good start both at multiplexes and single-screens, but given its costs, Welcome Back has to have a long and successful run at the box office to emerge as a clean hit.

Just watched welcome back in Dubai on Thursday. The movie was shot 90% in UAE and 10% in India. It is a very good movie…too much fun….akshay kumar will not suit in this version definitely…John was good…the real comedy was from nana patekar and Anil kapoor…they are the real gems in this movie….in the second half you will laugh more….
Flop Akki….without Akki it will be blockbuster………
