Shahrukh Khan, who organised a meeting between Jeetendra and UTV Motion Pictures, thanked the yesteryear star for resolving the situation and finding a win-win situation for Chennai Express, which releases on 8th August and Balaji’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara.
“Keeping in mind that both weekends (Eid and Independence day) are good times for film releases, Jeetendra sir being the senior most showed the path. He took the decision to move Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara (title changed) to 15th August. This is extremely graceful of him. UTV, Rohit and I are very happy with the decision made and we thank Jeetu sir and Balaji for the same. This should pave the way for such mature and sensible amicable understandings whenever two films release on the same day in future too,” Shahrukh Khan said.
“My father and Shahrukh spoke and have clearly worked out what is best for both the films. Both are big and keenly awaited and should not be made to eat into each other’s business. I have huge respect for SRK and wish him the best,” says Ekta Kapoor.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Manoj Kumar was a hero and a respected senior today, but Srk disrespected him not once but several times. Top of that his fans extinguished that poor mans good name and dragged it through mud. Now Jeetendra Sir is getting respect from Srk and its only because Jeetendra showed pity on Srk who begged him to save his sinking career so now Srk has Eid all to himself. But I wonder what would srkians have to say had Jeetendra not agreed to ease Srks suffering and pathetic begging…? No doubt you hypocrites would have character assasinated Jeetendra had srk not got his wicked way…!
Oh well hope you hypocrites enjoy your Eid weekend but Im sure most people will enjoy Independence Weekend more…! ;-)

It was ouatim team that first booked eid for its release date. Then someone came, a year later, and took it what it is by his rights as king takes what he wants and outim team knew what’s best for the movie, so they started packing up things to another date. Now, again, who’s the loser here? The king made this statement just out of courtesy, in order to minimise the damage that had done to ouatim movie even before its release.
what the hell this is …? All blind srk fans says him as superstar and he is not a coward. This is a superstar ? Ready to begg every time of his movie release for his sefishness … Before the time of sos for screens and now for avoide clash … Now This is approved by all , srk is the big coward of bollywood …

its for the interest of his own film ouatimd that jeetu sir took the decision.. as sensible bsns houses utv and balaji came to a mutual decision that instead of eating into each others bsns, its better to have releases one after the other instaed of releasing together.. lessons learnt from last diwali when an arrogant ajay devgn, despite knowing the consequences and the high stakes involved decided not to shift the release, resulting in lesser than expected collections not only for his movie but also for jthj.. though he stood his ground for which he should be respected, but end of the day it was an un-necessary risk and an unwise bsns decision causing lesser collections for both..
Now comming to sallu bhai fans.. i also like him a lot.. but the fact is he manages to get 2-3 clean weeks for his films which result in such good collections.. whenever he is pitted against other movies, the results are for all to see.. see what yjhd has done with no major releases in 3 weeks (u cant really count ypd2 as a major realease).. with these two films.. let us not forget that satyagraha also releases in the following week after ouatimd.. clearly giving each film only one clear week.. so instead of releasing both films together it and having no clear week balaji has made the right move as they also know that CE was going to be the first preference of distributors and exhibitors.. they have not only saved losses for themselves but also for utv.. as far as who asked whom to reconsider the release, it dsnt really matter because whoever asked the other was clearly wiser of the two and whoever agreed to the proposal made a great decision as majority of the collections come from the opening weekend itself.. all the best to both the movies..
