With the films just a couple of days away from release, the stars of both the films are trying to persuade the audience into coming to the cinemas to watch their movie.
Come 18th December, we have a huge clash between Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. While promotions for both movies are at an all time high, actors are trying to state why their film is better.
At a recent event, Shah Rukh was asked to comment on the clash between the two films. The star said “The other film (Bajirao Mastani) is also made by friends. Our genre is more family and happy-go-lucky kind. Their genre is niche and historical. For both films, audience will come in at different time and watch it. Both are really nice movies”
But when Deepika Padukone, the lead star in Bajirao Mastani, was told about what SRK said, she responded saying “I wouldn’t call Bajirao (Mastani) as niche at all. In fact, one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s strength is, that in a film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas or Ram Leela, or even Black, he has his way of story-telling and yet he makes his movies globally appealing”
While Dilwale has a huge cast including Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma, Bajirao Mastani also has the trio of Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika.
The negotiations from the makers of Bajirao Mastani for higher ratio of shows at multiplexes is still on. The film has also managed to get a fairly decent single-screen release, thanks mainly to Eros International’s last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Indicine there is nothing wrong in Deepika’s comments. She have an identity and have complete rights to give her own opiion. Stop looking for silly things and creating articles to get the buzz and traffic to your site !!!!!!!!!
Also nothing wrong in SRK words either. He played it with humble attitude and a decent reply for such a question.
