With the films just a couple of days away from release, the stars of both the films are trying to persuade the audience into coming to the cinemas to watch their movie.
Come 18th December, we have a huge clash between Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. While promotions for both movies are at an all time high, actors are trying to state why their film is better.
At a recent event, Shah Rukh was asked to comment on the clash between the two films. The star said “The other film (Bajirao Mastani) is also made by friends. Our genre is more family and happy-go-lucky kind. Their genre is niche and historical. For both films, audience will come in at different time and watch it. Both are really nice movies”
But when Deepika Padukone, the lead star in Bajirao Mastani, was told about what SRK said, she responded saying “I wouldn’t call Bajirao (Mastani) as niche at all. In fact, one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s strength is, that in a film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas or Ram Leela, or even Black, he has his way of story-telling and yet he makes his movies globally appealing”
While Dilwale has a huge cast including Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma, Bajirao Mastani also has the trio of Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika.
The negotiations from the makers of Bajirao Mastani for higher ratio of shows at multiplexes is still on. The film has also managed to get a fairly decent single-screen release, thanks mainly to Eros International’s last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

bt bajirao evrything looking superb n dilwale nt a single joke made me laugh. in 1 promo varun says exam papr thodi he ke marks dikhega n othr with srk . varun did his best to match dhawans comedy holmark bt writing itself looks out of place.
Heard that in Delhi and Kolkata , almost all Friday Shows are ‘sold out’ …!

@Challa you were the first sensible srk fan who never left a chance to insult SLB and BM from day one so please don’t try to talk about others. I also mentioned you many times in my comment whenever you insulted BM or it cast. regarding BM, Srk is wrong by calling it ‘niche’ though the genre is not appealing as compare to Dilwale. I am surprised to see India’s most renamed (“more than Maratha mandir”) Rajmandir of Jaipur is showing Bajirao Mastani. Eros is giving very tough fight to red chillies when it comes to screen allocation. So the genre is not niche at all.

Here i remember Akshay Kumar’s fans, who are hugely active in social media but hardly watch his movies in theater. I think, here all ppl giving there life for BM has no intention to watch that movie in theater. If u really a big srk hater and BM fan then buy ticket and make it a big hit. Sitting all the day in front of computer does not help a movie to gross high.

I dont know why SRK fans need to comment on the jokers and cartoons here . These guys are frustrated SRK haters who cant see his movies successful as they are losers in life themselves. They only vent frustration with hatred comments. 50% of them wont even see BM.
Now coming to BM, just becoz EROS locked single screen during BB release doesnt mean they will do well. The whole world knows BM is not a mass movie if u think its a mass movie then you still are a baby in the cinema world.
Mass movie means appeal to all sections and BM is for the Multiplex audiences only. The SS will remain empty and when the 1 week clause is over then will move to Dilwale.
