To every one say that his hit films was only with KJO or YRF I want to say to them there are so many successful films without KJo or YRF and were great, stunning , wonderful and unforgettable like KHNH, Chalte Chalte , MHN, OSO, Swades and the legend Devdas ,and more and moooore you must see them if you don’t because it appears that you didn’t see them
And every actor of the nominees had worked with KJO and YRF but no comparison between their films and the unforgettable SRK films .
All of these actors are good and I love them in the second role with the king but in the first role I’m sorry to say that no comparison between Akshay, Salman, Shahid, Ranbir, Abhishek,saif and SRK .

Hi guys, i´m reading all this here for quite a long time. Now i really feel the need of commenting, too.
To begin with – a tiny request: Can you please write in ENGLISH only! It´s boring and not very insightful that non-Hindi speakers (incl. me) cannot read what you´re saying (discussion, obviously ;). Thanks.
No, i surely didn´t vote for Salman or anyone else. Yes, i voted for SRK and only for him! IMHO, what you´re all saying about Salman is the best, most popular and most loved actor/star count almost only for India. S/o said, Turkey, Dubai etc…sorry, i´m pretty sure, Salman´s popularity is not as much given as SRK´s there, if you follow the news in a really attentive way, just a small remark…
Have you guys ever thought of the western world?? I´m a westerner myself (Europe, Germany). Also if i wasn´t it wouldn´t make a difference to what i read and see (I-net, newspapers, tv channels) about what´s going on in the western world (related to Bollywood´s stars, of course). SRK is the one whose name is said when ppl get asked about ONLY the word I-N-D-I-A and what they connect with this beautiful country, not Salman! It´s surely not his fault, he also doesn´t manipulate or pay media! A few months back i did a kind of ´research´ on my own in the circle of some of my relatives, friends aso. that have absolutely nothing to do with the whole Bollywood-thing. I just talked about India, particularly Hindi-cinema, but nonetheless generally. They (cousins, aunty…), not i, asked me if this one actor, SRK, isn´t one of this very popular actors there, coz they´ve heard of him once. Also, i was at my mum´s reading 1 of our Bollywood-mag´s when a friend of hers came over. She asked me what i was reading coz it looks interesting and i told her only the name of the mag and that it´s about Indian filmindustry. She interrupted me immediately, saying ´Isn´t it called Bollywood where this ShahRukh…ShahRukh, (what´s his surname?) belongs to/comes from? Very handsome man…´ (and that lady was 68yrs old, german and even isn´t interested in cinema in general at all!) Again not SRK´s fault…
In the countries around mine and more far away still this side – Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Czech Rep., Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Holland, UK, Egypt, Iran, SouthAfrica, aso aso., you´ll only hear 1 name as the most popular and most known and heard of bolly-star: SRK. Then the other 2 sides: America, Canada, Mexico, Peru aso. and Australia, Japan, China, aso., it´s the very same (fan-following increasing steadily)! Also not SRK´s fault. Lol, when even i´m here watching tv and sometimes they bring sth. (film excluded) about SRK in prime-time or just midday on 2/3 of our most popular free tv channels then that has a strong meaning (to be fair, back then they reported of the Mumbai attacks throughout that respective whole night, too)!
Let´s go on: Salman´s got ALMOST 0 honours conferred to him…SRK has a dozen of it. Countries are inviting him and requesting him to come over (on their own free will), they even come to him to gift him such things! I´ve never heard that someone has done that for Salman or Akshay or Hrithik etc. (maybe AB but he doesn´t belong to our list here coz of being kinda legend, as already said). I don´t like lists, but just see the American ´Newsweek´ – SRK among the 50 most powerful persons in the whole wide world! (they definitely didn´t get paid for it, it was just their analysis/research/stats, even none of the Hollywood actors/stars got mentioned there…well, sometimes i think FF gets paid for it, but that´s another topic)!
What´s left? Haan, you just cannot deny the fact, that SRK has the most fan-following around the entire globe, means he IS the most popular among them all. He even topped Brad Pitt, that says it all! Again not his fault.
Yes, SRK is very media-savvy, but please never forget that media/paparazzi/press or whatever names you give them, that MEDIA is the one that chooses the stars to write about not the other way round, coz it´s their damn job (admitting, sometimes i get headache what crap they write, gosh and their comparisions, really nerve-wrecking)!
I wouldn´t have given in this poll, if not so much ppl here have leaned against the facts. Probably the poll will have Salman as the winner, but you may shouldn´t make the mistake to underestimate whom the rest of the world´s calling the most popular and most loved Bollywood star/actor. Just stick to Salman being the most popular 1 in India (for whatever you think he deseves it, not my business), that´s ok if you like.

Oh but i also like other stars: Aamir´s delivered some excellent performances and is media-loved as well, Akshay is a very nice and sweet guy in conversations and all and his acting is constantly good and absolutely above average, Hrithik is the one for all ´special´acting and actually quite modest. Saif is a method actor: strict, funny and serious, love him for the person he is, Shahid is a cutey and already very charming in his young age, acting-wise is on the road to the top, Arjun is just totally Wow in everything he does – acting, interviews, ramp,…etc. etc.
I agree with what you said related to this fan-site and others. This is it, not everyone loves the same star, here so somewhere else differently…so what – live and let live! :) And i agree with you once again:
