Vidya Balan’s stunning photo shoot with Australian designers

As a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2014 the festival ambassador , Indian actress Vidya Balan, who was recently seen in Shaadi Ke Side Effects, did a stunning photo shoot with popular Australian designers – Akira Isogawa and Susan Dimasi.

Isogawa created a special dress for Vidya, which was a fusion of his Japanese roots and Australian chic. The other designer, Dimasi, presented Vidya in a stunningly beautiful saree, a traditional Indian attire that Vidya flaunts at most events back in India.

The fabric was specially designed by Dimasi, by hand weaving a textile with silk ribbon through a rubber net drawing inspiration from the 18th century brocades out of the Victorian art gallery’s collection.

Vidya Balan represents the country as its ambassador at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne which runs from the 1st to the 11th of May 2015. More than 45 films will be screened at the film festival, which will be opened by Amitabh Bachchan.
