The shooting for Shahrukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan is now complete! The last schedule was held in Mumbai and Shahrukh was supposedly neck deep in water for a couple of days. Shahrukh, sources say, was wrapped in waterproof gear to protect himself from wrinkles on the skin.
A delighted Karan Johar posted this message on twitter “Shahrukh just wrapped on MNIK…he has been so amazing through the shoot… he deserves every bit of his legendary status!”
The movie at its core is a love story, with Shahrukh playing an autistic character. Kajol is the female lead and plays the role of SRK’s wife.
My Name Is Khan releases in February / March next year and should smash most box office records!

The news that ASIN refused to work in SRK film ‘HAPPY NEW YEAR’ is FALSE. Even the script for the film is not ready and casts are finallised after the script is ready.So there is no point in ASIN refusing when she has not offered a role in that movie.It’s all rumour.By the way SRK’s movie will SURELY GONNA ROCK. You guys are kidding me, Salman Khan better than SRK? Salman Khan is just an overrated actor who plays the cheap lover, immature character and second rate comic role characters. In a career spam of more than 20 years he has only given one…ONE… good performance, and that was in “Khamoshi: The Musical” which was back in 1996. If it wasn’t for his body he would of just been another one hit wonder and the sad thing is that even Arnold doesn’t even get that much praise for having a muscular body like Salman does, which is sad because that attribute has made up Salman’s career.
Even if you don’t like SRK that much (like me) you can atleast agree that he is better than Salman due to the fact that Salman Khan can never pull off some roles that SRK have done like “Swades”, “Chak De” or even “Darr”.

Was Manoj Kumar right about Shahrukh Khan, Bollywood’s Pakistan agenda?
Shahrukh Khan may not be apologizing for his support for Pakistan, even though he had apologized willingly earlier for some trivial Islam’s Prophet Muhammad reference in Billu Barber. The actor may be locking himself into a corner to be exposed as what the legendary Indian star Manoj Kumar, once nicknamed ‘Bharat’ himself, had implied Khan was, ‘communal’ , albeit in a clever way.
Manoj Kumar who had given Dilip Kumar aka Yusuf Khan a break as character actor in his 1981 patriotic blockbuster Kranti (starring Manoj Kumar opposite Hema Malini, and directed and produced by Manoj Kumar as well) after the latter had been rejected in box office flops through the 1970s, had noted the above, calling Shahrukh and Farah Khan ‘fundamentalists’ when Shahrukh Khan mocked Manoj Kumar in comparision to Dilip Kumar after his home production a few years back and made series of comments that the legendary ‘Upkaar’ and ‘Kranti’ star found in affront. Seeing the situation then turning against him, Khan apologized to Manoj Kumar, though it is not certain whether Kumar ever changed his judgement on Shahrukh Khan.
That Shah Rukh Khan is clever or manipulative is not in doubt. If he weren’t so, he wouldn’t be where he is , and making a movie titled ‘My Name is Khan’ all the while claiming to be ‘above’ politics. The question is not whether he is not clever. The question is does his cleverness have a ‘communal’ agenda and is somehow using India’s film industry to extend Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s larger strategic cause, in which case he won’t be just communal but operating against the long term national interest of India possibly. That through Indian cinema itself he is propogandizing Indians to believe Pakistan is ‘great’ and ‘wonderful’, even as Ajmal Qasab is still enjoying meals at the expense of Indian taxpayers. That that maybe the reason why he’s making movie about 9/11 revisionism instead of 26/11 or that years ago, did not do LOC Kargil for JP Dutta.
MNIK supposedly has Khan playing a special Khan taking swipes at America in a sympathetic manner, all being presented under the platform of ‘Indian’ cinema.
Problem for Khan and his supporters be they wherever, is that by now a large chunk of India’s middle class has been to the USA, and don’t agree with bollywood’s one sided view of America, a country which not only has good ties with India, but unlike Pakistan, has a minority, ‘Barack Obama’ in the white house. That while its currently the regional Shiv Sena raising the point violently, Indians across vast spectra have no love lost for Pakistan or its symbols.
Khan often touts his family’s connection to Pakistan as if it’s some achievement (Pakistan has fought 4 wars against India, and surrendered to India in 1971). Nonetheless if Khan doesn’t have the agenda he’s accused of, then instead of hiding behind secularism stance currently prevalent in India, he should use his ‘influence’ with the Pakistanis to try to get *them* to be secular and ask why they haven’t elected a minority like Obama, be it a Christian, Hindu or a Jewish individual in Pakistan.
After all according to him, the Hindu-majority India and the muslim-majority Pakistan are the same right?
But since he hasn’t and since he won’t do that, we don’t have to give a crap either whether his name is Khan or his name is Kasab or his name is Bin Laden.
