Upcoming Bollywood Movies without Khans: Top 5

Second half of 2012 has begun on a good note with ‘Bol Bachchan’ gaining good moolah (even with mixed appreciation) at theatres. There is bountiful of collections expected from quite a few films in weeks to follow as well, what with each of the three Khans arriving with a blockbuster each. While that would be pretty much on predictable lines, it is also quite interesting to see some non-Khan films ensuring good footfalls too. Here is presenting them in alphabetical order:

Barfi!

Barfi: Its first promo has done the trick and caught everyone’s attention. Now that’s no mean feat considering the fact that there is not a single piece of dialogue that has been revealed yet. Ranbir is all set to entertain with yet another bravura performance while Anurag Basu too would be happy to leave the box office disappointment of ‘Kites’ behind.

Heroine

Heroine: After exploring the inside account of many things that could have possibly gone wrong in the country, Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to give an inside account of Bollywood. Though films made on Bollywood have seldom succeeded, ‘Heroine’ could be an exception with insiders claiming that Kareena has given an award winning performance.

Khiladi 786

Khiladi 786: Akshay Kumar is on a roll and with action (Rowdy Rathore) as well as comedy (Housefull 2) doing well for him; he is all set to make it big again with an action comedy. The ‘Khiladi’ franchise is being revived and ‘masala’ flavour of the film promises a ‘chatpata’ dish. The general sentiment is that the title and very presence of Akshay should do the trick.

Son of Sardaar

Son of Sardaar: The film has the ‘jodi’ of Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt coming together after ‘Rascals’, which no one is even willing to acknowledge. While Dutt made immediate amends with ‘Agneepath’, Ajay suffered faux pas with ‘Tezz’ before gaining his career best opening with ‘Bol Bachchan’. The duo is expected to create a riotus outing with ‘Son of Sardaar’.

Student Of The Year

Student Of The Year: Karan Johar is all set to bring his candyfloss romantic musical affair after years. Though he is working with newcomers for the first time, he has promised to roll out a campaign like never. Will the campus entertainer recreate ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ magic? Let’s hope so.

Other notable mentions: Chakravyuh, Jism 2, Joker, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum and Raaz 3.

Which are your Top 5 upcoming Bollywood movies in 2012? Please don’t include Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, SRK’s next or Talaash.
