The first list of Top Actors of 2015 is finally here. Who are the biggest gainers? Which actor has dropped down the list? Let’s find out!
We have decided to make our ranking system the most comprehensive in the industry. We will be analysing the box office collections of the Top 15 actors. The ranking system will also be divided into three; Top Actor in India, Overseas and Worldwide. The list below is for the Top 15 Actors in India i.e the domestic market only.
- The list would be based on the net box office collections of an actor’s last five movies. For younger actors, the minimum number of films is 3.
- Only lead roles would be considered. Cameos, special appearances and guest appearances won’t be taken under consideration. Non-commercial and art films like ‘Dhobi Ghat’ have also not been considered.
- Dated movies that released before 2007 have not been considered.
- Only domestic box office collections is being taken into account. Collections from all regional versions have been taken into considering as this list is for the top actors in India and regional language releases affect Hindi business in their respective states. For example, Tamil version will affect business of Hindi version in Tamilnadu / Kerala circuit.

Rank 1 Aamir Khan: With Rajkumar Hirani’s PK expected to collect around Rs 340 crore, the last 5 movies of Aamir Khan have now collected a record-breaking Rs 1,036 crore. To put that into perspective, the collections of Aamir’s last 5 movies is almost the same as the combined business of Hrithik and Akshay’s last 5 films! As things stand today, Aamir is way ahead of Salman and SRK too. The average collections of each Aamir Khan film is Rs 207 crore!

Rank 2. Salman Khan has dropped down the list for the first time in the last 4 years. He does more films than Aamir and his mediocre films go on to be hugely successful at the box office. Salman has two big releases this year and both are festive releases. Bajrangi Bhaijaan releases during Eid and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will release during Diwali. If Salman has to beat Aamir with his Eid release, then Bajrangi Bhaijaan has to collect Rs 338 crore at the box office. Ironically, the last time a Salman Khan – Kabir Khan film released, they fell short of the highest grosser of all time (3 Idiots) by just 3 crore! If they achieve the same result again, Salman will top. Improbable but not impossible!

Rank 3. Shahrukh Khan has dropped down to No 3 in the domestic markets, as his latest release ‘Happy New Year’ couldn’t match the collections of Chennai Express or Kick. While Fan is unlikely to be a record-breaking grosser due to its release date, SRK’s rumoured film with Rohit Shetty during Christmas could shatter records.

Rank 4. The release of Bang Bang temporarily took Hrithik ahead of SRK at the domestic box office, but before Bang Bang finished its run, Happy New Year had already released in theatres. Hrithik’s average of 134 cr is fantastic, comparable to the Khans even though he doesn’t always get to release his films during Eid, Diwali or Christmas. To elaborate a little more on this, out of the last 5 films, all SRK films have released during one of the three festivals, except Jai Ho all Salman films have released during the three most lucrative periods in the industry and Aamir Khan too has preferred to release his films during Christmas (all except Talaash). Hrithik got just one Diwali release for Krrish 3 and made the most of it. He will be missing from action in 2015, as his next release is Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjodaro (Jan 2016).

Rank 5: Ranbir Kapoor – Besharam was expected to take a good start at the box office and it did, what with the film collecting close to Rs 20 crore on its opening day. But the response was so bad that the film ended with lifetime business of less than 60 crore. It was arguably the worst received biggie of 2013, as even a film like Himmatwala held up better over the weekend.

Rank 6: Action Jackson has failed at the box office, which has hurt Ajay’s standing in the industry and also raised the dreaded question once again – Can Ajay deliver a big grosser without Rohit Shetty? The question is asked for a reason – outside a film directed by Rohit Shetty, Ajay’s average for the last 5 films drops from Rs 80.8 cr per film to Rs 56 crore per film. The actor will be missing from action this year as he begins work on his second directorial venture – Shivaay.

The box office game started with the first 100 cr which was started in the card for bollywood movie. So, lets considered the movies after release then
Its pretty obvious Aamir khan has started the league with 100,200 and now 300.
He tops the league by a huge margin around more than 40 cores the total average of other khan. He has a decent average of over 20 millions dollars overseas of his last 5 movies which is 6 million dollars higher the average of SRK who averages good 14 million dollars average and 11 cores more than average of salman khan who maintains poor average of 9 million dollars. I’m not sure why people think other two are the greatest. He who is the king is someone who runs the league powerfully for long period of time. The weekends doesn’t show star power. Certainly at the end of the day, we remember who does more and st least for another 5 years, Aamir will rules.
@Romance King remove YRF and Dharma from srk’s 1990’s and 2000s list, he would be behind to Jacky Bhagnani and Zayed Khan.

Hrithik Roshan is the Best Bollywood hero / actor just wait for Mohenjodaro and as everyone in the Industry knows that Hrithik is the 2nd most versatile Hindi film actor among his contemporaries after Aamir Khan and Hrithik will clearly outshine everyone with his acting performance as he did in 2010 with his portrayal of Ethan Mascarhenas in Guzaarish but the luck at that time and Aishwarya’s anti-fan following didn’t do justice to the film as Guzaarish was a flop at the Box Office though Hrithik’s performance was praised in the film . And who can ever forget that 2010 Filmfare Best Actor Award which clearly was Hrithik’s but the flop verdict of the film , and SRgay’s habit of buying all the Best Actor awards at the award shows changed the whole think , though Hrithik gave a better acting performance than Shahrukh Khan in 2010 with his Rizwan Khan portrayal in My Name Is Khan (SRgay clearly overracted throughout the film though Kajol was the only saving grace of the film with her great performance) . Kajol and Hrithik clearly outshined and did way better than SRgay or especially Aishwarya Rai , who was just a plastic full makup face wasted girl with 0% of acting in the film Guzaarish . Hrithik will outshine all Aamir , SRgay , Shahid , Ranbir , Salman , Ajay , Akshay , Arjun Kapoor , Sidharth Malhotra , Varun Dhawan , etc ………… many more with his great performance in Mohenjodaro . When it comes to the Hrithik Roshan in acting skills or performances he clearly outshines the 3 Khans of Bollywood in that category . A Die hard Hrithik fan .
Indicine continues to over hype and over rate SRK. His Don-2 never made more than 90-99 crores. Ra One made 115 crores and HNY made 178 crores..

SRK doesn’t have highest Grosser in India, Overseas or Worldwide. He has 1 movie in Imdb 250 whereas Aamir has 5 movies. This shows critical acclaim.
SRK didn’t start the 100, 200 or the 300 cr. Club. He doesn’t have the highest footfall record. On what basis is he the best? Don’t give me the crap that DDLJ is running for 1000 weeks, it doesn’t count for nothing. 1st day collections don’t matter if the movie has been thrashed by critics & audiences, alike.
Salman has way more fans on social media than SRK, overall.
Aamir has won 4 national Awards, SRK has 1.
Aamir has done 45 movies, SRK has done over 80, but only has 1 or maybe 2 records with him.
He hasn’t given Highest Grosser of the year since 2007.

I only believe in facts. and it’s fact that if srk would have done talaash at the same time than it would have chased guzaarish’s record. he is playing safe by working only in big banners, big directors, big heroines and releasing all his films during festivals, doing only commercial entertaining films, being in news for crap controversies like fighting with security guards, love affairs with costars, fighting with filmmakers and many other things to stay in limelight. if aamir would do all that craps he would be clouds above srk in popularity and stardom. but he doesn’t go to those cheap level, and despite keeping low profile, choosing different and risky scripts, he gets more blockbusters than your so called king. so better don’t give excuses and accept aamir as bigger star.
@227 : Srk worked with Mahesh Bhatt (Duplicate & Chahaat), with Ramesh Sippy (Zamana Deewana), Mukul Anand (Trimurti), Ashu Gowarikar (Swades). I hope you know these names !!!!!!! Count all movies of Srk & Salman with debut director n debut heroines n their verdicts. I am sure Salman will have more hits with debut directors n actresses…. I have no doubt about Srk consistency but he is no longer the force he used to be in 1998-2005 those days are gone, except Kjo, Adi & Farah no other directors as successful who directed Srk in their debut movies. Salman failed only with Subhash Ghai among big directors, Imagine if Srk had done Marigold n MAMK he would have finished but look at Salmans power despite few disasters in career.
