Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is just 5 crore short of the 300 crore mark. Only one film has crossed the 300 crore mark in India and Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be the second film ever to do so.
The PK record is out of reach for the Kabir Khan directed film, but Bajrangi Bhaijaan is expected to fall short by around 20-25 crore. It’ll be a phenomenal achievement considering the fact that the film didn’t have too many holidays during its run and also had just two open weeks (PK got 3).
Salman now has three films in the Top 10 and has every chance to take that number to four. His Diwali release ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ needs to collect more than Rs 188 crore for Salman to completely dominate the Top 10 highest grossers in the history of the Hindi film industry.

I would have loved to see Bajrangi Bhaijaan beat the lifetime figures of PK but surely the movie has done tremendous business at the Indian box office. I watched the movie yesterday together with my brother and we couldn’t but break into tears on watching the powerful acting of Harshaali Malhotra, who won our hearts with her priceless expressions and innocent smile.Her muteness proved to be one of the main threads of the film’s narrative and personally, i think that this girl should win the best actress award hands down. The hero of the film is the script and i can say that this is Salman Khan’s best movie since Hum Aapke Hai Kaun. Pawan and Munni taught us a big lesson about humanity and love and most importantly that of brotherhood. This movie probes social issues like child prostitution,social and religious taboos and racial discrimination and the director’s aim is to raise consciousness about these issues that can definitely be tackled by spreading the message of love, peace and understanding. From a big Bollywood fan from Mauritius.

huge collection by a movie as i was not expecting this much collection. I thought it will settle below 250cr. Congo to salman fans for the achievement of this movie! as everyone out here thought it is not regular masala movie which salman does so it want perform much in the boxoffice and everybody out here was predicting less than 220cr bcas eid fell in the weekend, had eid been in the weekdays and some holiday between it then sky was the limit as it can be seen in the weekends the percentage of growth by this movie, family audience have played a mojor for the achievement of the movie. I can only say that only dilwale has a chance of breaking this record and even pk record if it release solo and have a good content and get 3 open week bcas its 2nd and 3rd weekend can be huge and even break the 2nd and 3rd week record of pk bcas christmas and newyear falls on 2nd and 3rd friday.
