Ormax Media has released the list of Top 10 stars for the month of August 2012. It’s called ‘Stars India Love’. It’s a clean sweep for Salman Khan across all markets as Ek Tha Tiger has smashed records everywhere. With the success of Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2, Akshay Kumar takes the No 2 spot, although it remains to be seen if he drops down after the failure of Joker. SRK, Aamir and Hrithik make it to the Top 5.
Coming to the ladies, it’s Katrina Kaif on top. She is the undisputed No 1 female star. She is followed closely by Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been missing from action, but is ahead of Deepika Padukone, who scored a big hit with Cocktail.

Why Shah Rukh Khan is still the King of Bollywood ?
Whenever we hear the word SRK, the first title that everyone attaches is “King of Bollywood”, specially by his Die-Hard Fans. Thus for others who aren’t his fans often ask “Why is he still considered to be the king??” & that too when his movies aren’t earning as much as they used too.
Well starting first, people often say that he plays the typical lover boy image & that’s why they earn more. They say he doesn’t play challenging roles & out of his comfort level. This is where people often misunderstand his credentials. True he has played mostly lover boy characters. But then if one looks at his last 10 years graph, one will find a Rizwan Khan of MNIK, a Kabir Khan of Chak De! India, a Mohan of Swades, a Superhero in Ra. One etc where each of these movies have been either commercially or critically acclaimed or both.
Secondly people often say that he works with only few directors & that too of powerful banners. What they don’t understand is that movies work on the performance of the actors & not banners alone. Yes they may garner some audience interest but nothing more. Even otherwise successful directors like Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar & Farah Khan debuted their directional venture with SRK. Although I don’t take anything away from them yet saying that SRK works only with them & thus his movies are successful is more of an exaggeration.
Thirdly although his movies haven’t earned as much as they used too at one time, yet one can see that the risk that he took by making a 135 crore movie & making it work isn’t the one for the faint hearted people. And that too of a dream project where many actors dream projects have been Box Office disasters. Be it Raj Kapoor’s dream project of Main Hoon Joker, Salman’s Veer or Saif’s Agent Vinod, all these have sunk without a trace. Ra. One got the tag of “Hit” & thus this shows his caliber.
Fourthly he is the only actor whose last three movies have been more than 200 crores grosser Worldwide. This shows that his movies are accepted across & not just in India. Furthermore the fact that he has the largest fan-following across the world can’t be denied by even his haters.
Fifthly one these days often talk of 100 crore nett earners in India. At present this club has Aamir, Salman, Ajay, SRK, Hrithik & Akshay as the stars whose movies have earned more than 100 crore nett in India. However if one looks closely one will find that barring SRK, there is not a single actor who hasn’t taken the help of remakes. Whereas Aamir(Ghajini), Hrithik(Agneepath) & Akshay(Housefull 2) entered into this club with the help of remakes, Salman & Ajay’s biggest earners i.e Bodyguard & Singham have been remakes. SRK is the only actor who is yet to be in this club with the help of a remake. Taking nothing away from other actors, one can say it is quite an achievement for SRK.
Last but not the least whenever we see any actors movie doing well, the first comment that one often hears is “SRK’s days are over.” This just shows that although his non-fans mayn’t accept the fact that he is King of Bollywood, yet back in their minds they do so!!

“Joker” has created many jokes on the successful star like Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha. Akshay may have experienced many failures but it was first for Sonakshi Sinha.
Still its good for ‘Joker’ released after ‘Rawdy Rathore’, otherwise failure on the second step would have been more shocking on her career.
Shirish needs a competant director to materialize his unique conscepts, he is fine in editing, I guess..! (No offence Mr Kunder).
I’m not agree that It was a Mistake By Akshay Kumar to sign this film. Akshay kumar have five movies in 2012. Salman have two movies. Shahrukh and Amir have just one movies. Amir is already improved actor. and Salman is trying to improve himself. Akshay can’t replace Salman, Amir, Shahrukh, Ajay, Hritik. But Akshay is not like them. In my words’ itne jyada movies karne ke baad lagatar aap hit nahi de sekte, wo bhi aankhe band karke sign karne ke baad. kuch ki thinking ye hoti hai. ki jiski jitni jyada movie release hoti hai wo utna bada star hota hai. shayad unki tarah akshay bhi yahi sochta hai. result samne hai 2012 ki sabse badi (biggest) flop. So Akshay kumar is only responsible for biggest flop joker.
shame on both of you. why don’t you request shakti kaoor for this job. he looks more suitable?

Joker’s disastrous Wednesday Box Office Collections
“Joker” managed to collect barely 1 crore approx on Wednesday in it’s 6th day box office collections. The movie which had a disastrous opening day at the box office is showing the worst collections ever for a movie. The movie managed to collect 20 crores approx in the first week and will close its life time earnings at 20-22 crores approx.
The movie is slated to be one of the biggest box office disasters of Bollywood in 2012.

Joker first week will come to end by the end of the day. Joker has been really disappointing and has performed poorly. It had immense potential with huge screen release and super star Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. Joker on Wednesday has collected around 1.05 crore nett all India. It is in free falling mode with each passing day.
Joker should collect around 20+ crore nett all India in its first week and collection are even lower than many low budget movie of the year. Joker is an epic disaster and seldom such big movies have performed poorly in recent years. Joker will recover only 12-13 crores from theatrical distributor share and another 10-15 from selling of Satelite rights. Joker was made on a Budget of 45-50 crore, so makers of the film is entitle to lose around 22-25 crores. Distributor and exhibitor will have huge loss and might stay hybernate for few days and think what have struck them.
