Box Office India has published a list of Top 10 opening day collections in India and according to them, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has beaten the highest non-holiday collections of Dabangg 2 by about half a crore. The film is only behind holiday releases like Ek Tha Tiger (EID 2012), Agneepath (Republic day 2012) and Bodyguard (EID 2011).

It does not means that Ranbir kapoor is bigger star than Salman khan.lol.There were other factors also except Ranbir for this big opening like Deepika is bigger star than Sonakshi,Ayan is better director than Arbaaz,Madhuri dixit presence,Pritam music,Siddharth roy kapoor is also a big star now after Aashique 2 and the biggest factor was it was a big banner Dharma productions movie.Ranbir kapoor alone can’t give such a big opening like Salman khan alone gives.

There are many grammatical errors in their reporting, and they use under-reporting the figures of Super Stars (Khan Trio) to show validity. Do not follow this hoax website. Dabangg 2 opened with 21.5crores official figure, Yet BOI reduced it to 19.3. The official figures of YJHJ is 19.45 from Dharma and UTV yet BOI claims its 20cr. This is a biased and bogus website, Indian Cinema needs a good box office data website like boxofficemojo.com. ETT 199 cr reduced to 186cr, JTHJ 123cr to 101cr and SOS 105cr to 87cr. Who do they think they are, ignore BOI they’re fake as fxxx! It seems like if you pay them, they do over report with the case of YJHJ!

The only official figures BOI matched was that for 3 Idiots and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, clearly VVC paid them. ETT 199.6 crores reduced by 13 crores and JTHJ 123 to 101 reduced by 23 crores. Taalash official 92cr and BOI 92cr. It favours Aamir and now Ranbir.
Hahaha BOI has taken ETT down from 33crs to 30crs, Dabangg 2 from 19.75 to 19.36, Don 2 from 14.75 to 14.6 Haha do these films actually lose money after they get out of cinema’s. And YJHD official figure 19.4cr but BOI says 20cr and has been hyping it since day one. I don’t trust BOI anymore!

@Rohit – JTHJ was a Diwali release. Diwali puja and SOS affected it. It colected 12.5cr on first day. But its 2nd day was 19.5cr.
As I figured- the most astounishing news here is that a Ranbir Non Holiday starrer has Smashed the last 3 holiday releases of this ‘overseas baadshah’ by a good 5 crores but the news this morning is all about a .5 cr difference between Ranbir and Salman….! Such impartiality shown by the mediawala as always…! :-P
Jeez people- Lets praise the young rising prince for uprooting the Evil Ageing Fragile Demented King and lets celebrate that undisputable FACT as opposed to arguing about 50 lakhs here or there.
PS I always feel there is a 5-10% margin of error with Komal or Tarans figures (eachway) but seeing their tweets this morning then my own expectations of 16-18cr have been surpassed by Team Ranbir/Ayan. Kudos and Im looking forward to seeing the movie tomorrow God willing. ;-)
