Salman Khan’s KICK has recorded the 4th highest Monday collections and second highest non-holiday Monday collections of all time. The film is only behind Krrish 3 (which recorded its highest single day collections on the Diwali holiday), Dhoom 3 (way ahead of every other film in recent times) and Ek Tha Tiger (collected 20.64 on its 6th day, holiday for Eid).
Salman has a record 5 films in the highest Monday collections of all time. In fact, amongst all his releases since Dabangg, only Ready and Bodyguard (released on Wednesday) don’t make it the Top 10 list. All his other films including Jai Ho have held up pretty well on the most crucial day of business.

Kick did bit less than i expected. It is heading for 25/26 cr. on eid day. the total boxoffice tally is around 120 cr. for. I am expecting another 25-28 cr. at next two day. That will make 145-50 cr. for kick. At the same range of chennai express and far less than Dhoom 3. The collection of kick so far is disappointing if we compare with CE( although same range). Kick released on 450 screen more than CE and with around 15% inflated ticket price but still not break any single record.
I guess, it will be a difficult second week for Kick. It will be on the range of 30 cr. and rest of lifetime 10/15 cr. That would make a lifetime indian nett. of 190+ cr. as Ek tha Tiger. So salman fans have to wait till next eid.

@Kingshuk : No matter what effects you are experiencing the bottom line is Kick thrashed CE on 1st Monday collection – basically a working day without any advantage !!!!!!!! Now if you have some pride dont come up with screen comparisons.
Most trade pundits and distributors predict first week of kick would be 175-180 cr and lifetime would be 170-180 cr. So, they bought( dist) it astonishing price. The distributors need 240+ cr. to recover their investment. Now first week is looking like 140-150 cr. so distributors will lost a chunk of money. In this case a big producer like sajid nadiadwala usually adjust the money with next release. So no harm done.
IMO, If kick can’t hold on second week ( less than 40-45 cr.). It is a big disappointment on my book.

in d 5th nd 6th week of krrish3 al d big multiplexes showing krrish3…they wer showing coz people wer cming to watch d film…hrithik haters jus think urself d movie was releasd on a large numbr of screens nd wid a good to very good opening thers no chance dat d film colectd less than 20cr….frm d fist day boi was giving wrong figures…they havnt update their site frm months…wid d very wide release they cnt trace d exact numbr…

95% of trade analysts have given 179 cr figure to K-3. It is the majority that wins and it is a fact that Hrithik’s Diwali sequel Krrish 3 fail to beat Yeh Jawani hai diwani. Only 179 crores lifetime.
