The first week overseas business of KICK is at No 8 in the all time list of highest first week grossers. Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 is way ahead of the competition – first week was more than double of KICK and 40 cr more than Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express.
Dhoom 3 was the first film to collect more than 100 crore in its first week at the overseas box office.
Again, the list is dominated by Shahrukh Khan (5 films in Top 10) and Aamir Khan (3 films). Salman isn’t as popular overseas as he is in India, but the 3 Khans rule overseas too. The Khans are followed by Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, but none of their films are currently in the Top 10.

Srk is the most Egoistic actor of bollywood till date. His arrogance was all time high in 2005 to 2007 after that Aamir totally shown him his place and now he pretended to be humble. He was so rude that he was calling himself only don of bollywood even not care about big b when he was filming on don remake. That’s the reason which make big b relation were affected in 2006 with srk. @sky its a myth that slowly but surely is eroding- thakur no longer dominates overseas…, as @anand babu rightfully says- sarkar goes overseas for 6 months promoting his next film by doing roadside gigs or small town melas/ festivals for free trying to drum up interest but still sadly overseas audiences reject his circuswala nautanki shenanigans by watching an Aamir starrer instead…! Only yrf n dharma keep his name afloat overseas by spending millions of dollars in buying up airtime to promote craps like JTHJ- I live in the UK but during 2012 every other track on B4u music was a trailer of JTHJ so you couldnt watch that channel for several weeks as crappy ‘saans’ or ‘heer’ bored the family to sleep… Too much marketing for very little reward…

You are the person who before K3 released were saying that k3 may not be a big success but when it become you started to like that. We also can say you are favoring hr as Akki is not delivering huge success like Hr did with K3 and now he has potential big success like bang-bang that’s why you always come in support of hr. Great to see , this list is completely dominated by three khans, undoubtedly the best ever trio our industry ever had. Again, SRK’s every release after MNIK, is in the list and I guess this legacy will be continued with his upcoming films.
Now lets talk about records:
As this list is dominated by khans , I think only a Khan can get the top spot by beating Dhoom 3 ‘s 100+ cr. As its almost certain, that kick will be lagging far behind and the same feeling I have for HNY. May be, SRK will correct his own record and will surpass the collection of CE, but Dhoom 3 looks unreachable as of now. Because for that record, only star power is not sufficient. One should shoot his entire film in foreign location so that audiences will find themselves connected. As Dhoom 3’s entire shooting was there in overseas, it helped a lot to achieve Dhoom 3 this magic number. And this theory is applicable for Amir too. Even for him, it will be a tough job to cross the collection of Dhoom 3 with movies like PK , which is being picturized domestically.
One more interesting point I noted is the success of CE in overseas market. A film , which is full of Desi Masala and mindless action has put such a huge number on cards, its really a big achievement.
