In an interview with Hindustan Times, Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has said he has spoken to Shah Rukh Khan about the box office clash between Raees and Kaabil.
Roshan said he told the actor that both films are not going to gain from the clash and added that he has no ego issues. It’s superstition, he said, that’s stopping him from changing the release date of his film.
“We have met a couple of times. I have told him that nobody is going to gain out of this clash. I have also explained to him that I can’t shift my film’s release date, as I am a little superstitious. I would have changed the date had I not announced the film. I don’t have an ego.”
Roshan added that announcing a film after knowing that there is another film scheduled to arrive on the same day is ‘unethical’.
“I had announced my film in February last year. A sudden announcement about the release of another movie is a little unethical. However, I can’t stop any film from releasing on the same day” Roshan said.

SRK has achieved everything possible in terms of box office success in overseas and every record belonged to him for some 20 years. Now one or two blockbusters from lallu won’t change that, neither will it make him a global star since he is now taking help of a Chinese actress to draw the attention of elite audience in the overseas. And yes one thing is right. Rickshawala fans are more loyal than educated audience since they are BLIND. THey will watch a crap PRDP after a good film like BB and many more horrible movies before BB. Whereas SRK fans including me bash him for choosing the horrible HNY or the contentless Dilwale. Most of SRK fans do the same since after achieving such high standards we can’t stand him going low in terms of standard.
