The trailer of Titli, produced by Dibakar Banerjee and Yash Raj Films, is out. The film starring Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial, Shashank Arora (debut) will be in competition as part of the Un Certain Regard section of the 67th Cannes film festival which will be held in May 14 to 25.
Titli has been directed by Kanu Behl, who spoke about the film to us ”Titli is bout family, roots and the ghosts within our most intimate relationships. It’s an extremely personal film. The journey to the core of the film has been a difficult and exciting one and I’m looking forward to it going out into the world.”
Story: In the badlands of Delhi’s dystopic underbelly, Titli, the youngest member of a violent car-jacking brotherhood plots a desperate bid to escape the ‘family’ business. His struggle to do so is countered at each stage by his indignant brothers, who finally try marrying him off to ‘settle’ him.
Titli, finds an unlikely ally in his new wife, caught though she is in her own web of warped reality and dysfunctional dreams. They form a strange, beneficial partnership, only to confront their inability to escape the bindings of their family roots. But is escape, the same as freedom?

It’s really unfortunate that movies like this go unnoticed..
Amit sial should win Oscar and Nobel prize for this film. Hope he is the lead actor in Lootera 2. As for the film i dont think it can beat lootera in terms of greatness.
Amit Sial has much better acting talent than srk. He should replace him in YRF’s next FAN! YRF must have realised by now that if they take srk in fan, it will be blown away by fans lol. Amit should replace srk in fan,raees and all subsequent films.
