The director of the film, Ritesh Batra, has said that the nomination is an ‘incredible honour’.

“It’s an incredible honour for me and my team. I am in London right now, and I just heard about it, and we are honoured to be nominated alongside the finest films of the year. It’s a great way to start the New Year” Batra said.

  • On one hand, we nominate movies like 2 states and on the other hand we leave out movies like Lunch Box. It’s disappointing to see not a single award nominated Irrfan Khan for best actor in 2013. At least he is getting international recognition. It was THE best movie of 2013. Deserved much more than it got.

  • They should have also nominated hny and bb to make the award prestigius one like star guild, zee cine etc.

  • WOW!! Even though I am not a fan of this Movie,I admit that It’s an intelligent movie. It even deserved to be sent for Oscar. But our foolish indian academy of Oscar didn’t send it.

Anyway, Happy for the Team of The Lunchbox. Congratulations.!

  • @mr gauraav can u plz tell me wat was the need to bring 2 states here?it’s about lunchbox getting nominated for bafta but ur comment begins with how u r Sad with 2 states getting nominated for best film in every Indian award function!!!

I think u r too much in live with chetan bhagat and arjun kapoor.

  • It seriously missed out on OSCARS

It had a chance of being NOMINATED for ACADEMY AWARDS for BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM last year based on content alone.

From there, who knows what would’ve happened.

  • @mr gauraav just bcz u hv won this battle doesn’t mean all the rubbish things that u hv said about me and arjun and some otherd were correct or justified.it’s just that u were battle was with someone who is suffering from horrible luck for last 18 months but kindly take notes of the things I hv said to u otherwise u r gonna suffer throughout ur life.

  • @Sir Sambuddha

lol. Battle? lol. Which battle? Let me get this straight. I very much like Finding Fanny. Arjun is also cool. I have problem with “Arjun Kapoor Fan” not Arjun Kapoor himself!
