When it comes to action involving cars, it doesn’t get any better than Rohit Shetty in Bollywood. The director has his very own unique style of filming his famous car sequences, but to make his vision look realistic on the big screen, hundreds of people put their life at risk.
“I wanted the scale (of Dilwale) to be much much bigger this time. I created a team where I had my stunt drivers, my stunt team, the Bulgarian team, the South African team.. they all came together for Dilwale. That’s how it all started”
“To bring my vision to the big screen, 150-200 people put their life at risk. Before every shot, there are two sounds. One of the ambulance starting and the other is fire brigade. If there is some mishap, they will reach there to save that man.. I want to show that.”
“People ask me quite often.. why do you blow up cars so often. It is sad. I used to get angry and feel sad. What my entire team goes through, no one thinks about that. It is very sad..”
“It’s not like we purchase the car, make a person sit inside and blow it up.. We work on the car, day and night, to prepare it for the scene. We prepare it so that, the stunt man who sits inside the car, his life is in risk. Anything can happen to him.. ”
“When you have your people.. all you need is support from him (god). I just tell him.. see to it that everything goes right. I have done my bit, you take care of the rest.. he always takes care of me and my stunt team”
For the rest of the video, several unimaginably dangerous scenes are shown. Rohit gets emotional as he talks about his stuntman getting his 2 year old son to the sets of the film.. before performing a car stunt that puts his life at risk.

Dilwale everyday looks different. Have nothing against Srk except his fans most times. Had we all lived in harmony without egos and pride including arrogancy then all the Khans pre releases would make us storm the cinema and not praying for one of their movie to sink day 1 but again it’s hard no? Look Aamir Salman Shah Rukh are trend setters. At their age what they are still doing is out of the world. All above 50 but still ruling. After seeing Shah Rukh my respect grew a little more because. Dangal Sultan Fan Raees will Rock. from a honest Salman fan from Moscow.

Isn’t Rohit dashing? I trust Rohit. For those who use to think his movies are nothing but flying cars with computer graphics here you go. From actors to stuntmen they always give their best in doing these difficult moves. Quite impressed with Shah Rukh thought only Ajay suits these high level of raw +hi tech action stunts. Anyways for once I never doubted Srk action ability he is a real man never scared as you can see from the video clip. Dilwale is a must watch this December. Respect once more Action Genius Rohit Shetty.

Have seen some interviews of Rohit shetty and trust me he is such a very humble and down to earth personality. Doesn’t talk about too much about his films but never gives you fake hope. His work and his words both match the audience expectation and Rohit will be biggest reason if Dilwale scores unexpectedly despite of clash. As you need Raju hirani, rohit shetty or Kabir Khan behind the camera for movies like 3i,pk,CE and BB.

Rohit Shetty uses all Duplicates for the action sequences. But SRK gets the credit. The credit should be given to duplicates for doing good stunts not Rohit shetty or Hakla.
@hrithik I never predicted 300 Cr for happy new year because I knew that its a typical Farah khan’s movie and she is arguably the worst director in the country, so I cant be that foolish to expect 300 Cr from her, it might be some other moron fan of srk, but I never predicted 300 Cr. But this time I am super confident that dilwale will cross 250 Cr because this time dilwale has everything from the biggest megastar srk to the best entertaining director Rohit shetty to best iconic pair of srk-kajol and the youth icon varun dhawan and the competition doesnt have a superstar so dilwale is the hottest property choice for viewrs and i am damn sure that BM will need extremely great reviews and WOM to survive against the hurricane called dilwale, so I don’t need to worry, even in worst case it will stop cross 240 Cr. And one more thing, the past history also speaks whenever rohit shetty faced clash with superstar akshay Kumar, still rohit’s film became blockbuster then just imagine what would happen when rohit will clash with a small star like ranveer Singh’s boring war film and this time with srk who is the undisputed clash king, so just think about that. Dilwale will surely break kick’s record.
