‘The Amazing Spiderman 2’ will have the widest release ever for an Hollywood film in India. The much-awaited superhero film will release in IMAX (select screens), 3D and 2D formats across the country on Thursday. It has also been dubbed in Hindi and various regional languages.
Even though the film is officially set to release tomorrow, almost every multiplex chain will have special paid preview shows starting from 5PM today.
Big Cinemas in Ghatkopar, Mumbai will be screening ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2’ on as many as 7 shows. Multiplexes in smaller cities too have organised 3 – 6 shows today.
The advance booking is excellent, with almost 20-30% of tickets already sold out, even though most people aren’t even aware of the films release today.
‘The Amazing Spiderman 2’ is set to smash records of all previous Hollywood films in India.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 is going to become a 1st hollywood film to gross 100 cr. Hope bollywood movie will collect a 200 cr in Overseas Market

Aamir needs to play a villain in Krrish 6 or a hero in Don 3 in order to break records.

ADAM, an English language film grossed $2.25 m in the U.S while MNIK grossed $4.01 m in same
country. One was released based on word of mouth and the other based on stardom.
MNIK showed us that the star system of bollywood can make unusual projects commercially
viable.
The Lunchbox heading for 2014 glory in the US: this movie which was releaseed in 3 theatres in the US has grown from strength to strength and has now done > $2.75 m thus beating biggies like Ra.One, Talaash. Ek Tha Tiger, Krrish 3, has doubled Jai Ho’s figure in the US.
Now this film has shown us that well made films do make it at the box office.
It is the truth that Aamir has outclassed other B-town actors at the box office in the last 6 years.
But the first fact is if we look at big banners then this guy is King, In 2001 June 15, Aamir
Khan’s LAGAAN was distributed by Sony Pictures Classics in the US, while it was nominated for
the best foreign language film category at the Oscars.
So Aamir took 7 years to make a mark in bollywood after big banner release and extensive
coverage of his career by overseas media while the first Shahrukh film by a Hollywood distributor
MNIK broke all overseas records with mixed word of mouth and 3 years later broke lifetime
record of a commercial classic with Chennai Express, but Salman’s film was never distributed by a
big banner in the US, so in terms of stardom it is possibly Salman>Shahruk>>Aamir.
Offbeat film specialist, Paul Schrader talking on his scrapped project titled Xtreme City which
was to star Leonardo DiCaprio and Shahrukh Khan said that SRK was to produce the film, and he
was more keen on Khan starring in the project as he was the biggest star in Hindi Cinema at
least for the overseas audience, he also mentioned that Khan was not too confident about the
project and was not comfortable with a film in which he had little control over the content.
Though SRK himself had opined that Martin Scorcese has a bigger role than himself in the film’s
production, however this film is scrapped, SRK may not be far from a hollywood film that
will unite European/Indian cinema cultures.

Actually Aamir is the only Indian megastar to be nominated (as a producer) for the Oscars, that is a big acheivement.
Also MNIK was shot in USA, had amazing production values, was distributed by Fox Star studios, and was based on a universal theme of post 2001 conditions in USA. Thats the main reason it was so successful. Not bcoz of Srk.
Also talking Anil Ambani’s Reliance has already coproduced Hollywood movies like Lincoln, Real Steel etc. And I think Srk left bcoz he had a 2 minute role in the film like Anil Kapoor in MI4 or AB in The Great Gatsby.

Left behind the overseas figure which having importance but still its domestic figure who count the most. Last but not the least don’t ever try to think about Aamir and P.k. As once movie release all speculation will come to end so wait till 19th dec.

I hope FOX Star takes over the indian superhero franchises and makes a collateral universe containing superheroes created for movies like Krrish,Robot etc and superheroes from comics like Doga,Tiranga, that will be truly awesome and will put indian cinema ahead. our directors should go for that instead of crap films like hny,kick
