Tere Bin Laden 2 Box Office Collections: Set to be a disaster

Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive is set to be a big disaster at the box office, as the film opened to collections of less than Rs 1 crore on Friday and Saturday business too showed little or no growth.

The fate of the film has been sealed on Day 1 itself, as the opening was about the same level as the first film. Usually, second film in a series that is ‘assumed’ to be popular with a section of the audience, does tend to open much better than the first film, but that hasn’t been the case with Tere Bin Laden 2.

The Indo-Pak cricket match also has had an impact on business, but collections were too low to make any difference.

The first weekend business will be around the 3 crore mark, which would be less than the 2nd Friday collections of Neerja.

The budget is on the lower side, but Tere Bin Laden 2 will struggle to even recover its marketing spend.

Tere Bin Laden 2 Day 1 collections – Rs 1 crore (approx). The first film released in 2010 grossed around 85 lakhs on Day 1. That film was liked, but the sequel hasn’t even managed to find appreciation, which is unfortunate because the trailer did receive a good response.
